Will the 3 Indy films be released separately or in one box set?
During 'The Wall Street Journal' interview with Steven Spielberg from December 17, 2002, Spielberg said the following: "George Lucas and I are having an argument with Paramount. Paramount wants to come out with all three movies in one package. George and I want to come out with one film at a time and then come out with all three movies, and maybe even the fourth one, in one package later." Paramount says there is no argument and discussions are ongoing.
If Lucasfilms get what they want, each Indiana Jones film will be released separately and maybe/hopefully in 2-disc sets as older rumors mentioned. But if Paramount wins, we will get the Indiana Jones Trilogy in one box:
The DVDRAMA.NET writer, who reported the Indy DVD news in October 2003, told us that Paramount's president announced that they want to release the Indiana Jones Trilogy in a box - like The Godfather's DVD box - with one DVD per film and only one DVD for the bonus materials. A very reliable source shared some Indy DVD information that backs this up. The source said that the company, that is making the Indy DVD box, is using the original - Amsel's 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' and Drew Struzan's 'Temple of Doom' & 'Last Crusade' - posters to represent each disc. The Special Features disc will feature new art that will most likely be done by Drew Struzan
