I did hear a fair amount about the game however and was able to deduce that the Niners basically gave the game away. Not only the critical error in OT preventing a critical time out but also several 1st half errors and penalties.
So it would seem that they were the better team and if they had a less error prone day they would of had little trouble beating the Rams. A loss like this is good for a young team like this and I'm sure there will be a lot learned from it.
Now if we loose to the Browns on Sunday well lets just not think about that!!! I'm looking for a another solid victory. |
HI!!!!
Im from STL....so Im not sure Im really welcome in here....with the rivalry we have between the 49ers and the Rams....but...
In regards to your comment: A loss like this is good for a young team like this and I'm sure there will be a lot learned from it. I have to say that some may be "young" but there are many players on that team that are considered, now, veterans....
Some of the mistakes they made...like when we were going for it on 4th down and the 49ers player jumped off side to give us a first down...now that can be overlooked once, but they did it twice...huge mistake! Thats something that even a young player should know.....this is, after all, professeional football....these guys get paid the big bucks to know these things....
And for the kid that would not fall down after being in field goal range that, clearly, would have won them the game, was a BAD mistake....Im certain he is feeling the heat for that one! But again, should a professional player not be aware of whats going on, even if he is a rookie? Im not even sure if he was a rookie, so Im guessing, but either way, he should have known better!
The Rams made their share of mistakes also! To be perfectly honest with you....I would have never given STL a chance in that game (as due to my earlier post in stating I thought SF would win!)!
Anyways...Im not a SF fan.....not at all.....but you guys are looking pretty good this year....Id love to say otherwise, but I cant...Garcia is on a roll this year!
Personally, you should blow the Browns away....big time!
Anyways...it was a great Rams/SF game....as we out here always get real excited playing you guys!! I love the Rams...but my heart belongs to Buffalo!!! (So Im not afraid to speak ill of the Rams when its necessary!)
Good luck next week SF!!!!
It'll be an interesting year!! See ya in November!!
P.S. Marc....you need smilie football guys!!! (and hockey too....the season is getting ready to start)
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)
