The most brutal act I can think of has got to be in, "The Cell". The scene where the FBI agent's abdomen is sliced open; then his small intestines are s-l-o-w-l-y being pulled out and wrapped around a "rotisserie", for lack of a better description.....even though it's a dream sequence.....that only ADDS to the gore and general creepiness of this scene. Granted, it's not a movie that's part of a trilogy.....but the scene itself deserves honorable mention!!!
