YAY... i started this thread too... if i had a choice I would rule off all of the aVrIl luvers, except that would make this so boaring and no one would conflict w/ us "haters"... hahaha... AVRIL SUCKS!!!!

Like the one where she goes, "i'm not the milk and cheerios in your spoon" or something to that effect, that must be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. And quoted (well sort of) from a site which shows all the reasons that Avril's a fake, "wearing every single piece of clothing ever put out by hot topic does not make you punk"..umm i don't know the exact quote but i'll look up the site and put it up here, but it's so very true. She comes out in her dickies, and ties, and arm warmers and whatever the hell else she wears and calls herself punk when her music isn't. And that skater boy song, first of all, who the hell would spell it "Sk8er Boi"? Not only is she a poser, she evidently has trouble in English, but anyway, that song is incredibly childish and why the hell would any besides a 15 year old hormone driven moron want to get with someone who isn't even sure of who they are, because she contradicts herself. In her song complicated she sings about how she hates it when people act differently, when she's doing the exact same thing. I really don't like her, but some of her songs are good, even though they're poppy, but poppy is sometimes good when it's not sung by a crazy whore (britney spears) or a person who claims to be one thing but her actions say otherwise. Anyway, I'm going to look up the site that I was talking about before. TTYL.
.... yes, about hot topic. How much does it really take to go to the mall and buy clothes from a store that supllies clothing real punks wear (most of the clothes). And by the way... the gap owns Hot Topic :::GAG::: !
I think the reason why she writes the childish songs is because they are meant for childish ppl. Therefore, I think that when she decides to grow up, that she will crawl into the limelight and it will consume her, and she will become like the average, common hollywood "superstar"!!! YAY ::: fake giggle::: ... what a happy ending, except hollywood is made on how the publicity reacts, so i'm sure (if she loves getting money as much as i think she does) that she is about to do something drastic the second she is out of the spot light!

Yeah, I don't think that Avril is a poser, she may not sing punk rock and although she may dress like a punk rocker, should not be any concern to you. Artists dress the way they like to show an image. Doesn't necessarily have to reflect the music. The music she sings, I would classify as pop punk - girl style. There is alot of punk rock bands out there that don't all dress punk rock style. The true punk rock is with mohawks, plaid pants, leather jackets and boots that are high, with spikey accessories. Those bands are like the gadgits, rancid and some other oldies. Then you have your green day - 90's style punk and of course today, blink 182 and good charlotte. They may sing punk music but all there styles are different. So wouldn't most of those bands be posers as well?
Okay...y is there all this arguement???My opinion is:no avril is not a punk rocker or a skater...but she didn't really say that she was.What u guys are saying is gossip...whether it's against avril or with avril!I classify Avril as "pop rock".The reason i classify her that way is cuz she doesn't sound like pop.If u still think that she's pop...then listen to Mandy Moore,Jessica Simpson,Brittney Spears,e.t.c.And who cares how she dresses??(with the ties and all) I mean...everybody has their own style!There are preps and goths and rockers and skaters.And as for avril being a poser...think again!She's only dressing up and singing in the way that is most confertable to her...and not to play images in ppls minds like brittney spears does!For example:Tony Hawk is the best skateboarder there is..so far...But i tried skateboarding as a hobby and i liked it.People started calling me a poser...why???...cuz i tried something new and liked it???So before u post something...think about wut to post cuz from wut im reading,it's all nonesense!Is it gossip u write about...or ur opinion???My statement stands there!

Avril rocks anyway. She never claimed that she was punk. She is just an inocent girl who likes to rock out! There is nothing wrong with that! Why the hell would she be a poser anyway? I like Avril but shes not my life. I don't spend my time hating her. I like her music. So just get a life.
