Peaceful Flash Mob in New York
While the premise seems innocent enough on the surface, I was immediately able to carry the structural concept further to realize that this type of organization could bring with it very dangerous situations.
As an example, let's say a hate group forms a regional mob and targets victims by race, creed or whatever it is that they hate and then organize an overwhelming force to pounce and carry out their dirty deeds. Then the crowd disperses as rapidly as it came, no suspects are identified and another victim lies dead in the street, a crime for which no one will answer.
It's the infrastructure itself that is dangerous, only a fuzzy line exists between the "mobs" and militias if they were to take up arms. Nearly any participant in the above flash mob activities would surely balk at this idea, swearing that the activities are purely harmless - but to them I say, "it's not YOU I'm worried about, it's the more dastardly ones whom you give ideas to.."
