ABERDEEN, Wash. -- Speaking from a Washington state correctional facility, the high school boyfriend of murdered Modesto schoolteacher Laci Peterson said he has doubts about her husband, Scott Peterson's contention that he told her he was having an affair. William 'Kent' Gain spoke with Fox News' Rita Cosby over the weekend. He said he dated Laci when they both attended high school in Modesto and for a while when they were in college. Currently, he is incarcerated in the Stafford Creek Corrections Center in Aberdeen, Wash., for shooting his girlfriend.
Gain told Cosby that it would be uncharacteristic of Laci to quietly accept the fact that her husband had been unfaithful. "You'd have to be an idiot to tell her something like that because she's pretty fiery and she's liable to give you a good piece of her mind," he said . "She definitely would not keep something like that from her family and friends...Considering the circumstances, they were going to have a baby and everything that was involved (with that), even if she decided to stay with him, it's not something she would keep to herself."
In an interview late in January with KTVU's Ted Rowlands among others, Peterson claimed he had told his wife about his extramarital affair and that she was okay with it. Laci also never mentioned the affair to any family members or friends.
Gain said initially Modesto authorities were interested in him as a suspect. "Maybe a month (after Laci disappeared), my counselor told me investigators were asking about my whereabouts and how long I'd been here (in prison)," he said. "They wanted to make sure I wasn't a suspect."
I have followed this story since day one.
Its just amazing, the facts are so clear.
Once I read all of the articles on this case,
it was plain to see Scott did not kill Lacy, however,
he did have her killed.
He hired the "two" men that drove the van seen the
mourning she disappeared,I believe Scott did all of the
work as far as picking the place to dump the body,
made the anchors, and thought he was clear.
Scott arranged it all, he told these men she
would be walking the dog at a certain time,
he planned to be gone so he would look inocent.
I truly believe thats what happend, just read the articles.
I know the prosecutors have more up their sleeves than we know about. He might as well confess already. And Geragos isn't going to help him either because he has so many cases on his docket.

Well...I dont see him confessing at this stage in the game....
I certainly hope the DA has more....cause right now....its not enough.
I could definitely be convinced of that story Kimberly gave had they gone that route......however its not the theory they are choosing to go with...whatever their theory is...it had better be proven.
And for the record...they already cleared the guys in the van of any wrongdoing....so they wont be going with that story at all.
UNLESS.....they are the sleepers in this case...and that they may tell all on the witness stand...now that would be pretty strong if that happens...it would also be amazing that they would have kept this hush hush and blew us away with this come trial time...I guess one never knows....
Well...that might keep me wondering for awhile! I dont know.
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)

rookie, you're right....he's my brother and I have been trying to be most objective...it's pretty easy...but it kills me to see how people who don't even know what happened can form their opinions. I'm not saying he's innocent...he's not...it's just that the facts are so skewed. And I read all of your fodder...and it's so obvious that nobody really knows what's going on...it's all fed and fired by the media...shocking.
