this show has had a huge impact on not just me but my family...except my dad who is a homophobe....anyway...we have been furniture shoping and going to home depot picking out new paint for the walls and new carpet and flooring...and everything...we are in the process of turning our house from drab to fab....my dad is mad however.
he doesn't like the fact that it took 5 gay men to get us to start redecorating...he hates the show (though he laughs his ass off if he happens to watch part of it)
anyway...ive spent all of my off time this week taking down the 1000 (probably more actually) posters of rock bands that i had on my wall since i was 10 and painting the ceilings and walls...thom would be proud, my room looks better...it actually looks like an adult lives there...not a 14 year old.
me and my mom have also gone through our closets and cleaned out all of the old and ugly....when i was done i was like all the straight guys on the show...i had like 2 shirts and a pair of pants hanging in my closet...
anyway...the point of my post...this show is great because it makes you want to change for the better (better according to YOU), whether you are the straight guy being made over or not...you can benifit from it.
This is the first make-over show that has made me want to change my life, it's because I find the guys so appealing, they seem genuinley nice guys, and I feel good for the changes I've made, which makes me love the guys even more.
I watch in the UK every week and my husband loves it more than me. However, he tells everyone at work how he is 'forced' to watch it with me!!!!!.
I love Carson. He has the best one liners. They have made a britsh version which is going out in the UK this week. I don't think it will be very good though........
I'm very excited, I hope it's the start of a new trend; that the Fab Five are going to Dallas, they're accepting applications from straight guys in need of a makeover. I hope they come to the Florida area, my boyfriend said he needs them to come and help him out. I would be estatic! Can't wait for the new episodes! I loved the Mother's Day marathon, but I'd already seen them all.
