Thank you very much Pulse for the interesting articles you shared with us, they were quite interesting. I also had a recurrent nightmare for about 2 weeks about 13 years ago.

My mother had died when I was 11 and my parents were seperated at the time. She was exposed in a funeral home for three days and I was there when she was brought down in a casket in the cemetary grounds. So if was a typical burial except that my parents at the time were not on good terms. So my dad did not get a headstone to put on her resting place.

I had made a promise to myself that when I was older I would get one made for her. Well I married a military at nineteen and left the country to go to Germany for four years. I had forgotten the promise I had made and was just going on with life as we all do.

We I came back to the country about six months later I started having these horrible nightmare where I saw many corpses on top of each other. Since I had visited some concentration camps I figured that these pictures I saw in my dreams were memories of what I had seen overseas. The nightmare kept getting worst and worst and I had to consult a doctor and a terapist for this because I admit I was going nuts and just didn't want to sleep anymore. Also I had started hearing my named called and seeing quick pictures of my mom among these corpses. Well the doctor tried some powerful drugs to get me to sleep since I was starting to become ill since I was unable to rest. Nothing worked until I realized that I had forgotten my promise. So the next day I left and drove 5 hours to get a thomstone put on my mother grave.

It took 2 days to have it deliver to the cemetary and when I asked the clerk the lot that my mother the lady came back with tears in her eyes. I was told that my mother had been buried in a paupers grave (usualy that is where they bury vagabond, prostitutes, etc... (depending where they are just put in as is or in cardboard boxes pilled in a group). I was really upset at the time and the lady told me I could buy a lot and put the thomstone on it. That was not good enough for me and I just didn't see the point of doing that.

So I took a sledgehammer and broke the thombstone to pieces. I was really mad at my father because of the choices he had made. To me a limousine, rental of a casket, expensive flowers and a three day exposition in a funeral parlor where not important but a place of her own was. I did maintain a relationship with dad and it is getting better with time but I don't think I can ever forgive him for this.

So I do believe that dreams can be very revealing. Now to know if this was just brought by the guilt of forgetting my promise but I had no way of knowing she did have her lot so....

The nightmares also stop that night and I finally got some sleep.

People do say that dreams tell you things. Sort of like they're speaking to you. Some dreams clearly don't mean anything but others, you really have to wonder about.

I have a slight correction to make. When you click the link to read the article, there's another link within the article that's in blue. It's 'the North Gate'. If you click that link, there is the picture of the gate that I saw in my dream. Next time, I'll go back and check my links before posting...

I had already found the North Gate so don't worry about it. And yes most of our dream are about event, objects and day to day matter that don't really mean anything but these kinds of dreams have happen to me telling things I had no way of knowing until I dreamt them and research the information afterwards.

I do dream everynight and mostly remember between 1-3 per night. I even dreamt one night that a banana was running after me so they can also be very stupid!

But dreams like these have only happen to me 7-8 times. They also become repetitive and are sometime very interesting. It is just freaky that I also have some info about events that have happen to my family before I was born (one was 55 years ago) and kept secret from a member of my family and never had told anyone about it.
