THE MORALE of U.S. soldiers in Iraq has plunged so low that many have begun parking their Humvees and pretending to be on patrol.
" We were hit by so many roadside bombs we became incredibly demoralized, so we decided only way wouldn't be blown up was to avoid driving around all the time."

If thats true does not say much for the US army, they will have been trained to seek for roadside bombs and will have the equipment to fry the IED's except the stolen British ones but they are easy to spot. Thing is that if they are meant to be out searching for weapons or terrorists and instead are sitting in car parks then in the long term they are putting thiemselves, thier comrades and the Iraqi people in jeprody buy letting these things go they are also risking a court martial and army jail ( and nobody wants to go to army jail) for dereliction of duty.
So you get a handful of kids who are disgruntled and upset that they actually have to perform their jobs and that's proof of what? Like we say in the Marine Corps... there's always that ten percent. Lodgebo is right, there's no call for deriliction of duty like this and if it's COMMON then the Army ought to do something about it and quick.

Asking young soldiers to risk their lives and probably to kill without giving them a reason is true " derliction of duty".
This is natural reaction for young soldiers:

Is there a " deriliction" for those who do not provide right equipment, after it has been requested? illegal Invasion?

Come on Malcolm one guy who said he our his unit never got armoured hummers is not representative of the whole force out there plus your stroy says nothing about that equipment being asked for. Also the reason they never had them was that the US military was back then developing a vehicle that had better protection against IED blasts and which are now being supplied to the units out in Iraq.

No Malcolm now you know that's false, there are 500,000 troops in Iraq you cannot say they are all doing it you want them all to be doing it but that doesn't make it so .
