On March 24,1993 President De Klerk admitted in a spech they had develop nuclear weapons.
The point is that South Africa , a country famous for APARTHEID and passed the most racist laws was developing nuclear weapons and no country responded to warnings given by the UN.
South Africa was trusted by the West and using Western nuclear expertise , while developing weapons that would have cause untold destruction of innocent lives of Black people in Africa.
In 1979, South Africa even tested a nuclear weapon in the upper reaches of space.
Israel was suspected of helping Suth Africa devlop nuclear program. Henry Kissinger admitted that Israel itself had develop small weapons capability.
Yet , no international agency moved against them. And because Nelson Mandela did not want nuclear weapons, there was never an " African bomb".
