As of today ( Monday) Cena will have been WWE champion for a year this is one of the longest reigns in over 20 years it's also worth noting that Cena is a 3 time US champion and a 1 time tag champion.
An interesting point is that of the 27 male Raw superstars (Austin is not counted) Cena has faced and defeated all but 7 of them at some point Paul London, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Cody Rhodes, Santino Marella, Jerry Lawler & the McAllister's have yet to be beaten by Cena.
Also Cena has been involved in some title story or another for going on 3 maybe 4 years there was his quest to be US champion and his battle with JBL, then his battle with JBL over the WWE title, he came to RAW as Champ and had battles with every major superstar and beat them all only losing to Edge and RVD but reclaiming the title within a month of losing.
Now look at Batista although better trained and just better full stop than Cena, he has also been hogging the title limelight for way to long Batista became a 3 time world champion on Sunday not bad but when you consider it was somethin like his 15th title shot since losing to the Undertaker at Summerslam it begins to look a little pathetic. What has happend is that since Summerslam Batista has been in every main event and managed 2 win's. Ric Flair, Rey Mysterio, Kane and Mark Henry have been overlooked.
Ric Flair is leaving King Booker has quit or been fired depnding on who you listen to, Shawn Michales is apparently considering his future, Edge has already threatend to walk out, Jericho won't come back , neither will the Big show and Kevin Nash has not given a definite answer and is "monitoring the situation" and Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin have point blank refused to get in the ring with Cena ( clause in thier contracts they can pick and choose fights) and I honestly think it is because they know if they come back or stay they won't get a chance at being a champ so whats the point.
What this proves is 3 things the WWE puts profit before quality of storylines ( which will backfire in the long run), The WWE writers are brain dead morons with no imagination and finally if you are a WWE superstar the only way you will be in any main event is to be a jobber for these 2 profit machines.
