I watched the last ECW and found the match between Cena and Nitro to be quite entertaining. I must say that I’m really impressed with Nitro and if handled correctly he will be right up there. The Punk and Burke match was good too but I’ve never been fond of two out of three matches.
I think the reason I found it to be most entertaining is because there were no McMahon’s (Other than reincarnated Vince’s comments at the beginning.) interfering throughout the evening.
When the McMahon’s stop trying to steal the limelight and keep their noses out of it the wrestling is fairly entertaining. While they continuously interfere nobody will be able to operate effectively as a general manager.
Another thing killing the wrestling is the television time slot is for two hours. If you get six matches there is about thirty-five minutes of wrestling. The other one hour and twenty-five minutes is filled with advertisements, rhetoric and general crap. Most televised matches are broken up to slip in more advertising.
I refuse to watch a pay per view when the McMahon’s are involved in any way. When I pay to watch wrestling, that’s what I want to see.
I also am getting tired of the twenty second matches with Jamal, Kahli, Mark Henry and now Snitsky. Their walk to and from the ring is normally longer than the match. I’d be more entertained if they fought each other rather than have to sit through someone like Funaki or Shannon Moore get farted across the ring like rag dolls.
