Summer Transfers 2007 post #1  quote:

Steve Sidwell has made one of the biggest mistakes of his career, signing for Chelsea from Reading. A good young Enlish midfielder will hardly get a game for Chelsea so there goes his career for a few years until Newcastle or Tottenham or Bolton sign him.

Filham have let Thomas Radzinski go on a free transfer.

Relegated Charlton have signed Luke Varney and Chris Iwelumo after allowing Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink to leave on a free.

Owen Hargreaves is set to complete a transfer to Manchester Utd.

Glasgow Celtic have signed Hibs midfielder Scott Brown for a record fee between Scottish clubs.

Portsmouth are set to sign Sylvain Distin, Titus Bramble and Sulley Muntari. Distin and Bramble on free transfers and Muntari for a recorded 10 million.

Obvioulsy the transfer market will heat up but Rangers have signed Alan Gow from Falkirk, Kirk Broadfoot from St Mirren and Claude Darchiville from Lyon ( I think it's Lyon).

Although these are not confrimed transfers thought I would post some rumourse to see if they come to anything:
Darren Bent will decide his future in comig weeks As will Hearts Goalkeeper Craig Gordon with Arsenal, Mallorca and Bayern Munich showing intrest and Rangers will talk to the agent of Munich hitman Pizzaro in a weeks time to discuss possible transfer.

Pompey have completed the signing of Sulley Muntari for an undisclosed fee and have signed Herman Heriederson on a free from Charlton.

Portsmouth are close to landing Nigerian striker John Utaka from Rennes. There is talk of Kranjcar going the other way but I hope that is just talk.

Sunderland have signed former Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon for ?9 million making him Britains most expensive goalie. In a few months fans in England will realise he is also Britains best goalie. I do think though that he could have done better if he had stayed in Edinburgh for another season.
