Get ready for about 50 million new U.S. residents over the next two or three years. There is just one issue that Republican and Democrat politicians agree on, and that is the remedy for illegal immigration. And their remedy is to take the “illegal” out of illegal immigration, not to prevent illegal immigration. Congress is quickly wrapping this up behind closed doors to get it done with as little public scrutiny as possible, because 80% of the public opposes what the politicians want to do.
Don’t depend on TV news to keep you informed on this because they are obviously on the side of the politicians, and not on the side of the 80% who oppose this. ABC had a debate this morning between Geraldo Rivera and Glen Beck. With Diane Sawyer passively sitting there and letting Geraldo shout down Glen Beck for the entire debate pretty much left no doubt which side ABC is on. There is no debate if only one party is allowed to speak.
The government solution to this immigration problem requires illegal aliens to turn themselves in, pay a $5000 fine plus back taxes, and then return to Mexico for a background check. After that, the person can return to the U.S. and become a guest worker on a path to citizenship. Why would anybody jump through all these hoops just to be here to work, when all they have to do is break the law and come in to work? The fact is that none of this enforcement is going to happen. It is only being used to sell what amounts to an amnesty plan to the American people. And the plan is basically to eliminate the border. There are at least 12 million illegals here today, and with this amnesty plan, another estimated 50 million will come in immediately. Fifty million is 1/6th of the U.S. population.
There is a reason why both politcal parties agree on this. The Democrats see fifty million new Democratic voters, and the Republicans are naive enough to see fifty million new Republican voters. In just a couple more weeks, this will be a done deal, and most Americans will not have even realized that it was happening.
