((This is something that will interest Tolkien fanatic on this site and Fuscia in particular, if I remember correctly, liked this particular story from the Silamrillion))
This is huge for a Tolkien fanatic or I would have put this thread solely in the Books section.
To my understanding a new book set in the realm of Middle Earth is to be released on the 17th of April 2007. This book is writen in part from the notes of JRR Tokien ((the Sillmarillion)) and finished by Christopher Tolkien.
This new book, titled "The Children of Hurin", is set in the later days of the First Age of Middle Earth in the realm of Beleriand and follows the tales of the hero Hurin Thalion and his children Turin Turambur and Nienor.
The Story was begun in 1918 and revised several times, the tale was never completed by Tolkien before his death. Tolkien's son, Christopher Tolkien, has now completed the tale for publication for the first time as an independent work.
Famed Tolkien artist Alan Lee has brought his talents to the project creating the cover for the new book.
If this book proves sucessful ((as it probably will with all the Tolkien nuts out there)) then it may be followed by more Silmarillion tales such as Beren and Luthien and the Fall of Gondolin.
