Hello everyone. I need some guidance. I asked my mother if she can put my son, who is 18 months old in her tax report. She agreed that she would give me the money. She just received the money a few days ago and told me that she would give me $500!!! Is that a reasonable amount? I feel like she's keeping a lot of money from me. Please help!!
it depends how much money she makes and also how much got witheld form her check. Basically she claimed your kid as a dependent instead of you claiming it.
She makes 35 thousand a year. I don't know how much was returned to her, she won't tell me. Also, I don't currently have a job. I stay home with my son. My mother also put me, my brother, and my sister in there. Does that change how much more or how much less she gets back for each child?
