It's no ACCIDENT that Justin Timberlake hooked up with juicy Scarlett Johansson now that he's a free man again. Justin had has his eye on Scarlett for awhile and he PERSONALLY pursued her to appear in his video so he could really get to know her. "Scarlett has always liked Justin. They’ve always had a flirtation – that’s why Cameron was threatened by her." With good reason. The decision to cast the 20-year-old as the video vixen pushed Timberlake's relationship with Diaz to the breaking point, and paved the way for Johansson to move in for the kill. "She could not believe he went behind her back to put her in the video," says a Timberlake pal. "Cameron was very jealous of Scarlett." Adds the source, "they definitely got together after she did the video." Indeed, sources in both stars’ inner circles tell Us the couple are in the beginning stages of a relationship and excited to get to know each other. He's especially impressed because Scarlett says she doesn't believe in monogamy - she likes an open relationship. That suits Justin just fine - it's the best of both worlds. He can hang with sexy Scarlett and have his freedom while on tour. Scarlett is already very friendly with Justin's mom - a good sign. We predict Justin won't be able to resist giving advice to Scarlett on her upcoming album "Scarlett Sings Tom Waits."

The Donald's got an unlikely new ally in his battle against Rosie O'Donnell -- Star Jones!
In a fusion of shameless self-promoters that might explode the media universe into bits, Trump says that fired "View"-er Star Jones gave him a congratulatory call yesterday, presumably for his relentless attacks on Rosie O'Donnell and former boss Barbara Walters. The Donald told the New York Times, "I just got a congratulatory call from Star Jones." At least someone is calling.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are afraid their 9-month-old daughter may be the target of kidnapping plots. She is rarely seen in public. In fact, the last time she was photographed was in her daddy's arms on her parents' honeymoon, and they were surrounded by EIGHT bodyguards. Celebrities have long been targeted by wackos who threaten kidnappings, including David Letterman, David and Victoria Beckham and Russell Crowe.

Marcia Cross has been forced to quit work on "Desperate Housewives" and go to bed for the remainder of her pregnancy. She is expecting twins and, at the age of 44, it's considered a high-risk pregnancy. The producers of the show are setting up production in Marcia's own home so she can wrap up her storyline for the season. Her twins are due in April.

After five years together, Drew Barrymore has ended her relationship with Fabrizio Moretti, who's the drummer for the Strokes. A friend of Drew's told Us Weekly their five year age difference had something to do with it. She's 31; he's 26. The friend says, "She's more worldly and he doesn't like the Hollywood stuff. He doesn't get her friends." The breakup might not be permanent, though. The two of them have broken up before and ended up back together. So this might be just another "break" in the relationship.

The National Enquirer reported that Lindsay Lohan's liver is about to call it a day due to her booze love. The Enquirer claims it uncovered the Real story behind Lindsay's recent emergency appendectomy on Jan. 4. A source claims, "The appendectomy was routine, but what doctors discovered in her blood work was not. Lindsay's liver panel shows her drinking is taking a terrible toll on her health. Her liver enzymes are extremely elevated, and doctors warned her if she doesn't quit boozing she could die!" The high levels of two particular liver enzymes indicate that some of Lindsay's liver cells are damaged and are leaking these enzymes into her blood.

The rumor was that Nick Lachey called Jessica Simpson last month to let her know that he was planning on getting married again. In fact, the story was that he was on the phone with Jessica for almost an hour explaining his intentions while she struggled to maintain her composure. But now Nick says it's not true...He's not planning to propose to Vanessa Minnillo. In fact, he said, "The four-letter word that starts with an 'r' - we are not dealing with that one yet." It took me a minute, but I figured out he was referring to the word "ring." Meantime, Jessica was spotted with John Mayer in New York over Christmas, but she continues to insist she's single.

Actress Yvonne De Carlo, who fans of "The Munsters" remember as Lily, has died at age 84. De Carlo had a long career, mostly in B movies. But for generations of kids she'll forever be Herman Munster's beloved wife. While the show only lasted two seasons back in the mid-1960s, it led to two feature films. She was the last of the big stars from that show. The actors who played Herman and Grandpa died earlier. Along with "The Munsters," De Carlo is also remembered for playing the wife of Moses in the epic motion picture "The Ten Commandments." A friend says De Carlo died of natural causes Monday at the Motion Picture and Television facility near Los Angeles.
