Man, I just started watching this show again (because I recently got HBO for the first time in years) and I forgot how brilliant it is.
I laugh so freakin' hard. Larry David is comedy. Sure, it's like an adult Seinfeld where David is this Jerry/George combo but the ad-libbing and crisp dialogue make this show really unique.
Hell, it even makes Richard Lewis loon entertaining.
I didn't see those episodes yet. I've been re-watching season 1 and caught some season 2. I need to catch up. HBO needs to put some more on their InDemand deal. Can't wait to check those out.
When he was playing poker at Julia Louis-Dreyfuss' house and he called that dude the C word I was rolling.
My favorite episode to date, is when they go to the porn party, and Larry tells his wife, it's just a party not a porn party, and they get there, and the stuff these people were saying was so very very rude.
It was so over the top, even Larry and his wife, who are pretty liberal, felt overwhelmed. Then Larry wouldn't take off his shoes, and the owner of the house's wife gave him a royal *** chewing.
I used to hate this show and then one night I sat down and watched the episode where he invites the rabbi to his ski lodge and pretends that he is an orthodox jew and I was hooked.
