The thread is about the UK's involvement in The "Trade". Africa's invovlment in is complex and is not as simple as you and lodgebo have agreed it to be. Stay on topic or start another thread.

If you did have nay real knowledge you would know that it is impossible to talk about Britains rule with out talking about the Africans who supplied the slaves, it's like having a debate on drug users and not talking about dealers, it's all releated and if you got off your white bashing and UK bashing perch and opend your racist eyes you might just might see that.

There is nothing wrong with investigating a crime and holding those accountable for their invololment. I don't know if its guilt, but We cannot understand why someone would have a promblem with descendants tryin to understand their past?

I am not saying that what you post is edited far from it, I have said and I implore you to read more than one book on slavery before you make you opinion. Now on to your racists rantings. No but you are missing the point at the time no crime was being commited slavery ws a perfectly legal things, abhorent yes but legal you therefore cannot charge somebody or the realtives of that person because they never broke the law. It alomost like 50 years from now car driving is made illegal and some idiot tries to sue my son because his old man drove a car, it would a stupid pointless excersise because I did not break the law.

But it's not abut understanding your past is it it's about blame, apoligy and wit apology comes $$$ thats what it's about. If you want to discover your past fine go to the library, births, marriages and death register, companies house ( don't know the US version), geneology experts you know you can do all that and undertand your history so why do you need Blair to apologise?
