Iraq is heavily divided on this issue, on one hand there are the ones who benefited from his regime, and on the other hand there are the ones who were suppressed by his regime.
Iraq had suffered a lot because of him and his regime and there is no question about that, most of the people hated him, for what he did and for what he drags the country into.
No one (at this time) can tell what would be the consequence of his death (execution), it (for sure) will not bring stability to the country, but his existence (alive) would fuel his supporters to continue the fight to bring him back.
This man alive caused so much death to Iraq and so would his death , he is death itself, meaning to say when he was alive people were dying because of him and when he is dead people are (will) die because of him.
