Acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks TV and TNT, who last collaborated on Into the West, are reteaming for a six-hour adaptation of the Stephen King-Peter Straub novel The Talisman. Eyed for a summer 2008 debut, the project follows a man's journey to locate a mysterious talisman that could save his mother's life. Along the way, the protagonist enters a parallel universe in which he must battle demonic forces.
