A report is swirling around the Internet that Tom Hanks died this morning after falling off a cliff in New Zealand during a movie shoot. TMZ is told by New Zealand authorities that the report is totally bogus. An official from Interpol, the police in Wellington, New Zealand, confirms to TMZ that no report of an accidental death has been taken and they are certain no such incident occurred. TMZ has obtained a photo of Tom Hanks taken just yesterday in Ontario, California, during the filming of "Charlie Wilson's War."
For the second time, George Clooney was named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. When asked how he feels about receiving the title again, he jokes around, saying, "There's a lot of pressure. There are all the events you have to show up for. The sash you have to wear is embarrassing." Clooney adds that his friend, Brad Pitt, will be upset now that he’s joined him in being chosen twice for the title. People’s "sexiest man alive" list began in 1985 with Mel Gibson. Others on the list: Tom Cruise (1990), Pitt (1995 and 2000), Denzel Washington (1996) and Jude Law (2004). The 12 "men of the year," include Brad Pitt, Jamie Foxx, Patrick Dempsey, Matt Damon, Justin Timberlake and Daniel Craig.
Former "American Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler may have a sitcom in the works, and a debut album at No. 1 on country charts, but she admits she had a rough childhood. Her father, a drug abuser, went in and out of prison for armed robbery. And for the first time Pickler admits that she was a victim of physical and mental child abuse at the hands of her mother. Kellie says: "I remember my mother and I were in the kitchen and I said, ‘I wish God would take me away, I’d much rather be dead than live here with you.’ She took a knife out, set it on the counter and said, ‘Here, do it then.’ I was in fourth grade. Of course I never would have acted upon it, but it’s done a lot of emotional scarring."
NY Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter has a new babe. He went out in L.A. Tuesday night with actress Jessica Biel. The couple were huddled in a corner of hot club Hyde, "laughing and giggling together." At one point, Jessica went to the restroom and three girls quickly hurried over to chat with Jeter. But as soon as Biel returned, he put all his attention on her. The two left together.
Rapper and noted prose stylist Kevin Federline, 28, took up his Sharpie and left behind a love note* on the shower door of his dressing room at the House of Blues in Chicago, where he performed November 8. The message, written the day after wife Britney Spears, 24, filed for divorce, reads:
Today I’m a free man
Ladies look out
F--k a wife
Give me my kids B-tch!

Nick Lachey has found love again with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, nearly a year after separating from ex-wife Jessica Simpson. The singer announced his feelings for the MTV presenter at a concert in Las Vegas, Nev., on November 11. After the 33-year-old stripped down to just a tank top, he announced to the screaming crowd, "Damn it, Las Vegas, I fell in love again!" The couple have been dating for seven months and celebrated their shared birthday (which was two days earlier) after the concert. A source tells Us Weekly that Minnillo commissioned a portrait of four generations of Lachey men: an infant Lachey, his father, grandfather and great-grandfather. The source adds, "It's based on one of Nick's favorite family pictures."
Michael Jackson made his much-hyped return to the stage last night, and it turned out to be anything but thrilling. The singer appeared at the World Music Awards in London to accept the Diamond Award for selling more than 100 million albums worldwide -- but based on this evidence, he might be lucky to sell even one more from this point. He was rumored to be performing "Thriller" with British pop star Chris Brown, but ended up coming out for just a few bars of "We Are The World." Jacko strolled down the stage with a swarm of children, and then just stopped singing completely, so he could hug the young ones.
Jacko's one moment of total abandon came when he threw his jacket into the crowd. No word on whether members of the crowd successfully avoided it.
Hey Larry, welcome to 1997! On his show last night, talk-show host Larry King told guest Roseanne Barr that he'd never used the Internet, that he "wouldn't love it," and that it probably wouldn't be a viable political medium because there are "80 billion things on it." And then he proceeded to ask Barr how the bizarre invention -- what's it called again? -- works: "What, do you punch little buttons and things?" Barr, ever gracious, offered to show King how to use the complicated contraption. King declined. Too many moving parts, no doubt.
If she was looking to cleanse herself of all traces of Bobby Brown, this might be one way to do it. Whitney Houston might be forced to give up her New Jersey mansion in a sheriff's sale because she owes more than $1 million on the mortgage and she hasn't paid the taxes on the property.

When I read that first line, my heart dropped. I really like Tom Hanks, and I would be saddened by his death. I'm glad that it's not true.

Wow K-Fed's a real poet.
This guy is pathetic... he thinks that he's soooooooooo hot, yet people won't even go see him in concert, for free.
JUST GO AWAY!
