I don't know... I don't know why people care so much. He's dead, that's life. The family won't see South Park for a while, because it's not show in Australia until like a year later... well, they'll see it NOW, since some careless news reporters decided to make a big deal about it.
If it wasn't for those reporters, the family may never have seen it... that is such bad form. I say boycott all news programs, newspapers, magazines, etc. Heartless so-and-soes.

And the more people getting all antsy about it the more the South Park fellas are going to take it to the next level. Any press is good press. They are just fueling the fire.
Look what happened with the Scientologist crap. SP guys came right back and did another show.
Hehehehe "no, we're the SUPER Adventure Club. We roam around having sex with little boys!"
That's so true. The more press South Park gets, the more viewers they get, the more they're gonna take it to the next level. And I'll be right there in the passenger seat

Steve Irwin's widow Terri Irwin is reportedly "devastated" by an episode of controversial TV cartoon South Park that pokes fun at the late Crocodile Hunter. Terri, 42, is said to be worried that Irwin's children Bindi, eight, and Bob, two, will see the show, which portrays the late star with a stingray sticking out of his chest less than two months after he died. Friday night, Australian TV channel SBS said it is planning to air the episode in Australia next year or in 2008.
This is from a news report today. And this is what I was talking about. I feel sorry that he had to be put in the show, at all, at this point. I know that it's comedy, and they make fun of everyone... but, it was just too soon, and I hurt for the family.

What makes you think that only the media is responsible for them finding out? You sure that people that they know, all over the world, didn't catch this, and tell her?

Wow, that's totally what I'd be telling my friend: "Hey! Your recently deceased husband was mocked on telly!! You shoulda seen it, I was so horrified. Aren't you horrified too?" Only a real wanker would do that.
I caught this, finally, over the weekend and it was pretty funny. Wasn't anything wrong with the Steve Irwin part, I thought.

You know as soon as it came out about 10 news agencies called her asking for a reaction and blowing it way out of proportion.
You were at a newspaper too? Man, I did all my writing as a freelancer. When I actually worked their full time it was as a website coordinator/writer, but still, it was for such a rag.
The place I worked was far from being a rag (you know those newspapers that're like 3 times bigger than all the rest? Was one of those...), but most of the reporters were wanks. I worked there full time from the get-go, and was on entertainment and stuff (and before I left I was only doing editing anyway) so it wasn't so bad... was pretty cushy. Good money and flexible hours, but I just felt like I was losing little pieces of my soul for each hour I spent there.
Plus I was on the edge of becoming an alcoholic
