fuscia said this in post #12 : Well there were areas where he had to get tested. There was this time that either his shoes or his pants would set off the monitors. I'll have to see if I can drag him away from his "clan" for Call of Duty to get him to answer.
Oh man! My Carhardt pants would collect radon gas and set off the beta booths so I couldnt get out of the rca. Radon occurs naturally when granite decomposes and if the wind is blowing the wrong way the radon levels are already high. I had to stand in front of a fan for two hours one time just so i could eat lunch
Whidden said this in post #4 : According to how much you get. If memory serves, the scientists at Chernobyl looked over into the reactor and were dead within hours. And Jack's boss on 24 breathed in some radioactive gas, and it got in his lungs, and he had less than a day to live.
If the guy showed up like in the previews, all burned from it, he would have less than a day.
Not nescescarilly, if he was just radiated fron the outside with the type of radiation that stops when it hits something (beta i think), he would just have superficial burns. If his internals were radiated (gamma I think) his goose is cooked (pardon the pun). The danger to the rescuers is the potential of contamination. If he has microscopic radioactive particles on him, just tuching him might get some on you, without a Geiger counter there is no way of knowing
Actually, though I said I would shoot him, I wouldn't. I'd try to help him out, but in a way I didn't have to get to close to him. I would make him camp outside the city, set him up something to live in, and bring him food and medicine.
Lawless said this in post #3 : Well, who knows what will happen? Once you have radiation poisoning, can you get better? I really don't know anything about it.
You can get better, depending on the dose. There is however, a point where you are better off letting Dave just shoot you, unless you want to break the record for number of cancers dying from, currently held by the helicopter pilot from Chernobyl
Man, last nights episode was great (as usual). There is a lot going on...
I thought that the radiation dude was going to be found outside of town. Nope... right there, in the midst of their safe haven. And that he's associated with Robert Hawkins. See, I don't like the guy... and he's got a laptop that he's communicating with something. He knows something big... and I wanna know what it is.
I wish Dale would tell miss high and mighty up on the hill to "F" off. She's a b!tch. The way that she treated him, in front of her friends.
I love how Dale stocked up the store. But, WHY are people spending their money on stuff? It's just funny. Because I don't think that there is a reason for it. But, what do I know.
I want to slap Eric for all the time he's spending in the bar, drinking, and hanging with his fluzie, while his wife is bustin' her butt to save people at the hospital.
Jake is awesome, as usual. Oh, did anyone else see those dog tags around his neck, when he was getting out of the shower, and talking with Heather? Was our boy in the military, for 4 years?

I loved when Eric showed up, at the hospital, and he was all... "I got 75 gallons of gas" His wife said... "Thanks, but we've got it covered!" SLAM! That was great.
I don't think that Hawkins was behind the bombs. I think that he is a gov't official, who either knew that it was going to happen, and they had a group of families that were to seek shelter. And, I think that he knew that Jericho would be a town that was safe.
:::>^..^<::: ~*~The Journey is more important than the end or the start~*~ :::>^..^<:::
I was watching it with Sandy and my mom, and I missed a lot of stuff. You know how women folk talk.
Anyhow, I got the idea sick dude was supposed to meet up in Jericho with black Cia dude and coordinate something, but he screwed up and tried to bring a bunch of people with him.
That sound about right?
But what I don't get is the traiter part. He said there was a traitor, but I missed who got betrayed, and why they think there is one....
Yeah, I think that he was supposed to meet up with Hawkins, but went back for other people. Why? Was his daughter the reason? Did she leave to get others, and so, he went back? Or was there more to it?
He (Victor... aka radiation dude) said that there was a traitor. When Hawkins pushed him for the answer, Victor said "You... know" So, either he was saying that Hawkins is the traitor, and he's now trying to cover his tracks, or someone else is a traitor, and they are out there, somewhere.

OOOO! Something I noticed. The EKG leads! It said "lead off". and the monitor was empty. Notice that he was dead when they came back in? The guy took his leads off so that the alarm would not sound. He had to have killed him. I'm telling you, they wouldn't show a shot like that unless something foul had happened.
Good catch, Sher. He didn't want anyone around to give away whatever it is he is hiding. And that guy knew that he was close to death... he might have spilled the beans.
