I cant find out how to change whatever setting is causing this....... when i open a new window, and i already have one up, the original closes !!! EVERYTIME!!! its really annoying ...please help me out....thank you
Try going to Internet Options and click on the Advanced Tab. Click on Restore Defaults to see if that helps. I'll keep looking for some other solution in the meantime.
Nikole, are you talking about folders or web pages? For the first, go to Control Panel > Folder Options. Under the General tab, look under 'Browse Folders', make sure you have chosen the 'open each window in its own window' option selected. As for the second, well, you got me.
So you have a window open, then you open another window and the first one closes... when you open the new one are you clicking on the IE icon or hitting ctrl-N?
