All through September, HOUSE airs at 8/7c on Tuesdays
ON THE NEXT HOUSE "MEANING"
SEASON PREMIERE
AIRS 9/5
House has recovered from multiple gunshot wounds and is back at work, taking on two cases simultaneously: Richard, paralyzed after brain cancer surgery eight years ago, who drove himself on his motorized wheelchair headfirst into a swimming pool; and Caren, a young woman paralyzed from the neck down after a yoga session. As House begins to diagnose and treat them, the team notices a distinct change in his attitude toward the patients, and Cameron even catches Richard’s wife thanking House for his sensitivity to her husband’s situation. House suspects that Richard could possibly walk again, but he has no specific medical proof to back up his hunch and the various treatment avenues he pursues lead nowhere. Cameron and Foreman refuse to indulge House and his theories, which they feel he’s pursuing merely to make the case interesting for himself. Cuddy and Wilson also are convinced House is creating a mystery out of Richard’s case to cure his own boredom, but he denies it and becomes more frustrated when his theories do not point to a cure for Richard, forcing House to face an unpleasant truth.
"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain

House ran to the hospital and was in better spirits than he used to be.
Hmmm I was on meds for a headache, so the whole hour kind of blurred together.
I was not surprised that House went back on the pills. I do think that Wilson was a total tool for not letting Cuddy tell him about the patient he had the cure for. He deserved the answer that he was right. So he was denied that high of being right, and I think that helped push him to the pills.

Yeah I agree. Wilson shoulda let her tell House. He was so close to having a breakthrough moment. He said earlier in the episode he didn't know how he was "supposed" to feel when the family thanked him. Imagine how he "wouldn't" have felt seeing the man stagger out of his chair to hug his family? Now House's own staff has lost respect for him, and the only two people who know he was right are Cuddy and Wilson. I hope House gets redemption. It's too bad he's on the pills again, this will probably psychologically bring back his pain too. Bummer. How many episodes until we see House limping around on a cane again?
Next week's episodes looks insane... levitating people? Alians? What? Is House a spinoff of the x-files? lol
Please pardon my pseudo-intellectuaphilisophicalismysiticality.
I wouldn't mind if this next episode was X-Filesy That could be really fun.
Yeah, Wilson was an ass for telling Cuddy not to tell House that he was right. She herself said that being right about a cure is his best high. I wonder if she'll realize that if he had known that he was right he wouldn't have forged an order for Vicadin?
I hope that House finds out next week that his patient really did get better.
