BB7: All Stars - Episode One 7/6/06 post #1  quote:

THE BRAINY, THE BUFF & THE BAFFLED

The All-Stars Move In

It’s summer again, which means BIG BROTHER is back and better than ever! This season, the house is barely big enough to contain the super-sized egos of our All-Star HouseGuests. But this season is what BIG BROTHER fans everywhere have been waiting for: a summer of showdowns and payback, where old grudges are rekindled and new flames ignite. This BIG BROTHER house is not for the faint-hearted, as the HouseGuests America loved, and loved to hate, move in and get down to the business of deceit and duplicity. Let the games begin.

AMERICA’S BIG BROTHER SWEETHEARTS

Host Julie Chen reintroduces the 20 HouseGuest hopefuls, revealing that the voting competition was so close that there will now be 14 HouseGuests in the ALL-STARS House. Julie then begins to draw the keys for the top four men and women America voted into the BIG BROTHER house.

Starting with the women, bodacious BIG BROTHER 6 blonde bombshell Janelle is the first key handed out, followed by the equally eye-catching Erika. Nakomis, sporting pink hair, is next up, trailed by the feisty Diane. The gals have one minute to choose their beds, and in “typical women” fashion, they try every room until they settle. Nakomis is worried that the physically beautiful women in the house will not like her because she isn’t a “girlie-girl.” Diane worries less about how she is perceived and is left scratching her head how Erika got voted back into the BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS house as “she didn’t do much of anything on her season.”

Next, Julie Chen announces the top four men to enter the BIG BROTHER: ALL STARS house. Howie is the first key drawn, followed by his “Sovereign ally,” Kaysar. Their BB6 housemate James is all smiles as his key is revealed, and then it is bad-boy Jase’s turn. Jase, from BB5, is concerned with the number of last season’s HouseGuests, commenting he feels like he “time warp(ed) into BIG BROTHER 6.” Howie hugs everyone, smiling gratefully as he declares “there are some all-star boobies in this house!” Kaysar is dealing with flashbacks of last summer as Janelle scopes out the new digs.

FROM THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FIRE

Julie Chen is greeted with scoffs and chuckles when she asks the remaining All-Star hopefuls if any are surprised by the HouseGuests thus far. Marcellas wails that he is “shocked” that America didn’t vote him into the top four, as he is, after all, “America’s Black Gay Sweetheart.” Reassuring the nominees that there are still another six names to be called, Julie reveals the final keys. Will (BB2 winner) is the first called, followed by BB3 villain Danielle and a greatly relieved Marcellas. BIG BROTHER 4 bad-girl Alison is given the next key, accompanied soon after by Mike “Boogie” (Will’s Chill Town ally from BB2). The final key is handed to a momentarily speechless “Chicken” George, the only candidate from BIG BROTHER 1. “So cool! I made it!”

As the remaining BIG BROTHER: All Stars join their new housemates, there are laughs, squeals and hugs aplenty. Danielle shrewdly admits she “kept thinking, ‘this is all nice, but eventually it’s gonna get ugly.”

“Chicken” George introduces himself to his new housemates, admitting “(his) making it in here is like a donkey winning the Kentucky Derby.” Boogie agrees, describing George as a “minnow among sharks.” Fake kisses and hugs are exchanged between Marcellas and Danielle, as Alison admits her shock at seeing Erika in the house: “Me and Erika hate each other!” Erika still remembers Alison’s role in her eviction three years ago and isn’t about to let it go lightly.

Meanwhile, Kaysar and James talk “mano a mano,” while Will and Boogie plot Kaysar’s demise. Willl and Kaysar have taken an immediate dislike to each other as egos clash and personalities vie for domination. As the HouseGuests mingle to make a toast, old grudges are rekindled, and the HouseGuests size each other up for the game ahead. “To BIG BROTHER: ALL STARS!” they cheer, as Boogie adds, “This is the last time we’ll love each other.”

TAKING AIM AT FALLING STARS

The new HoH Competition rules are revealed. This season’s rules have changed, as for the first time and for this week only there will be two HoHs. Not only do they have to share the HoH Room and privileges, but they must also share the nomination duties. If the two HoHs do not agree on the nominees, both HoHs will themselves be placed on the block.

Heading outside for the HoH Competition, the HouseGuests discover an elaborate set-up called Falling Stars. The HouseGuests are split into two groups, and one group must launch objects at the opposing group, who are placed atop slippery pedestals on a spinning platform. The pedestal “targets” have to dodge a flying 50-pound “meteor” launched by the other HouseGuests. Marcellas thinks the set looks like a gay disco, but Howie and Mike take happily to the wet and wild surroundings.

Nakomis easily takes out Howie with her meteor on her first swing. Danielle took aim at her nemesis Marcellas, whereas Kaysar takes out Will’s right-hand man, Boogie. Erika and James soon follow suit. Will takes his fall from grace in stride, taking a ride on the great meteor, while Marcellas is knocked out by a devious deflection orchestrated by Jase, who ends up the first HoH winner.

As the teams trade place, the new targets are knocked out one by one. Howie takes out Nakomis in the first swing. Will removes Kaysar from his pedestal, and James annihilates Diane. Jase scores a knockout with Alison, and Erika fries some chicken with George. This leaves Danielle and Janelle vying to be the second HoH. But any hopes of weakening the BB6 stronghold disappeared as Howie took aim at Danielle, leaving Janelle as the second HoH. Alison resents Jase and Janelle being dual HoHs, as in her view it creates a relationship between the two strongest potential alliances.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Jase and Janelle move into the HoH Room, accompanied by their envious housemates. They are greeted by usual gourmet goodies in their mammoth-sized HoH boudoir. Jase shares his photos and personal life, admitting he’s now playing for his girl and future stepdaughter. Boogie is irked by the memory of his HoH reward of a bag of peanuts and a comforter, and even Alison begrudges the “spoiled” state of the HoH lifestyle.

At first, Jase and Janelle can’t decide who to nominate. They both agree that Will is a force to be reckoned with, but they are in no hurry to confront him. Janelle admits that the pressure to nominate two people so soon after moving in is proving stressful. Meanwhile, downstairs, Danielle stirs the pot, planting seeds of doubt about who is allied with whom and suggests ways to get Jase to use the double HoH to oust Janelle. Chicken George shrugs his shoulders, bewildered by the scheming already taking over the house. Alison heads outside to plant the seed with Jase, but it backfires when Jase goes to Janelle. Danielle is suddenly on Janelle’s radar, and Jase rests comfortably, feeling he has gained the confidence of the BIG BROTHER 6 alliance. James is sold on Jase’s commitment, even though Jase admits to us, “Of course I am lying!” Janelle’s ire has been piqued as she declares, “If Danielle is gonna come after me, I am going to go after her.”

IT’S NOTHING PERSONAL. WELL, MAYBE A LITTLE

The Nomination Ceremony begins. It is immediately clear that Janelle and Jase have agreed on two nominees, keeping themselves off the chopping block. Key by key, the HouseGuests find out they are safe. Marcellas is a “very happy black man” after his key is the first awarded. Much to his disappointment, the last key is handed to Will, leaving scheming sisters Alison and Danielle on the block. Jase and Janelle admit that the girls’ scheming so early in the game was the reason for their nomination. Danielle admits she is “speechless” over being nominated, whereas Alison declares war on Janelle, saying she will pull her out of the house “by her fake hair and her fake boobs.” The gauntlet is thrown and the lines have been drawn as the battle of the blondes heats up for a showdown next week.

Will the Power of Veto provide Alison or Danielle with sanctuary from eviction? Will all-time PoV champion James reign supreme once more this season? If he does, who will he chose to save, if anyone? Don’t miss the next episode of BIG BROTHER 7, Tuesday, July 11 at 8pm ET/PT, only on CBS.

Interesting opening episode into the game. Danielle got EXACTLY what she deserved, and I hope that she is eliminated. You don't try to make that huge of a move, so soon, because there are too many people involved, and everyone is making a play to better themselves. She stuck her neck out, and it's on the chopping block.

I think that it's going to be one back-stabbing moment, after another. There are a lot of people who don't like each other. And it's funny, because they don't even really KNOW each other.

I'm still sad that Yvette didn't make it... but I will survive. The only person that I REALLY like inside the house is James.

They didn't show Howie much last night... so I was like, "Dang, he's all mellowed out." Oh, hell no... he will be as crazy as ever, when they focus on him.

I LOVED when James was talking about how he wanted Janelle to be one of the HoH's because he actually trusted her... I'm sure that the season six have made a pact (at least as long as it suits their purposes to get farther along in the game), and that they will try to stick together through it all, if possible.

Boogie and Will are back at their schemes... should be interesting. I don't like Boogie, but the dude is entertaining as hell. So, I hope he's around awhile.

I think that there are going to be some great cat fights this season... because there are some biotches in that house. The guys better "duck and cover" when the pms starts up!

Man, Mike and Bugger want the Sixers gone, that sucks. At lease Janelle got HoH. That was huge.

The one chick got exactly what was coming to her. Trying to start all this crap out of no where, and blondie went along with it. Everyone else was like, chiiiiiiiiiiillllllll.

They want King Kaysar gone, but do you go for the big chop so early? The Sixers need to get more people on their alliance, not just Jace, who really isn't anyway. I would rangle in Chicken George and possibly one of the dumb skirts.

James should be recognized as more of a threat, that's for sure.

I really enjoyed the premiere, having so many Sixers on it was great, feel like it's a continuation of last year, sans the Nerd Herd.

That one punk chick angers me and I don't know why. I hope she leaves soon.

So, new episode on Tuesday for Veto, then Elimination on Thursday, then it's back to 3 days a week? Super sweet.

I thought that it was funny that Mike "Boogey" and Will are gunning after Kayser. That will be interesting to see how that one turns out.

Jace is SOOOOOOOOOO not on the side with the "sixers" and I think that he will eventually get caught for it.

I was cracking up, after the little key thing, and Will was in the room talking about how pissed he is that HE wasn't chosen for elimination! He's a creep, in my opinion... with a huge head, that needs a pop.

Yeah, what a doo-moss. He was just jocking for screen time. No one is that lame. It's like, "yeah I want to be voted out first to show what a threat I am". Zuh?
