To those that don't visit the site (www.mrdaughtry.com) often, Chris has declined the Fuel offer and has signed with BMG (Rca Records). And thanks to Lassie for a great post..."Expect a CD very soon after Taylor releases his. Sony BMG realizes that Chris has the potential of making a lot of money (possible more than the winner and runner-up) thus they want a CD from him/his band ASAP to capitalize on Chris' fame. Chris selling the most iTunes, being the most musically downloaded, and reaching the Billboard Pop Top 40 before any other contestant, had REALLY increased Chris' negotiation power."

Why am I not surprised by this news??
The most talented and the truest artist didnt win.
How sad is this?
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)

Lawless said this in post #4 : Actually... by him NOT winning, it's allowing him the FREEDOM to do more that he wants... like sign a deal with BMG, and possibly include his band!!!
True...cant argue with that. All in all, it was probably the best thing that happened to him. After all...who in the hell wants to be stuck with AI and get screwed alive in the contract.
There is a reason, after all, why Clay and Kelly bailed out!

Chris is VERY happy with how far he went. He never wanted to win this entire competition. It was all about the exposure... and he sure did get that, and a hell of a lot more.
