New talent only please! I guess I don't really mind a mixture of both but I think the whole point of the show should be about giving a chance for the new guys to establish themselves.
"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain
I agree, fresh faces are better for the show. But I think the producers want some established talent that they know are funny to keep some stability in the ratings. But a few of these guys aren't people that I kind of seen here or there... I met Gabriel Iglesias, seen his Comedy Central special. Come on now.
I just don't find it fair to put comedians on that have had a special or have had work on television before. I think it gives an unfair advantage to those who are new. The established one's already know what to do and what to say and who to talk to and all that. They have a leg up on the new ones already. I think it should be all about the newer comedians learning the ups and downs of the business.
Totally agree. The people that have already had some success on television should not have a free ride, maybe not even considered. But the show never said who they would or would not take.
As a matter of fact, in the first season they did not take one comic that had not appeared on Leno or Letterman.
Meh, Roz is like an echo of every fat loud ass chick comedian with one name. I don't see her as long for this show. Unless they live in a gingerbread house, then she's good for a few weeks.
