Alright, saw the movie, check the 'review' thread for my thoughts on it, as if you care.
As for spoilers, man, what a kick to the shorts this thing was.
Huge mega spoilers ahead, turn away...
Cyclops: dead! Professor-X: dead! Jean Gray: dead! Magneto: cured! Mystique: cured! Rogue: cured!
By cured I mean they were injected with that syrum which turns mutants into human. The army guys have these plastic guns with viles of the syrum for ammo. They manage to spray down most of Magneto's Brotherhood with them. Of course Rogue volunteers because Iceman is sniffing around Kitty Pride.
About the deaths, Cyclops was smoked by Phoenix in the first fifteen minutes and it's done off screen. Phoenix smokes Prof-X in the first forty five minutes or so, you see him actually dematrialize. Phoenix takes out quite a few other people in a simliar fashion. But Wolverine gives Phoenix three claws to the gut for her trouble at the end, she's the only 'body' you see, as it where.
The "I'm the Juggernaut, *****!" part was for real, I cracked up. But he gets taken out, get this, by Kitty Pride. He bangs his head against a wall and passes out. I know, he runs through buildings, you have to see it to understand.
Angel is hardly in the movie, what you see in the trailer is what you get.
At the end of the credits there is an extra scene that shows Moira tending to a comatose patient when all of a sudden you hear Prof-X say hello in her mind. Lame.
Multiple Man has a brief appearance that was fun.
Magneto gets taken out so sheepishly it was pathetic. Beast sneaks up and jabs the syrum into him. Of course before the credits role, Magneto is playing chess in the park when all of a sudden a metal chess piece starts to wobble. Big wow.
Really anti-climatic. Wait for the DVD rental.
