Let me start this off by saying that I'm not all that excited about Elvis night. But, after listening to the mp3's already, it's not going to be too bad. But, WHAT in the bloody hell happened to Priscilla Presley? Was she dragged behind a motorcycle? Damn. STOP having plastic surgery. Even my kittens are freaked out viewing that face. Elvis is turning in his grave. I love that Tommy Motolla is their "mentor" tonight. I love that guy.
Starting off the night is Taylor . Busting out with, "Jailhouse Rock," I'm expecting him to just blow away the house, because he's just amped on stage, and this song has that potential. Wow, starting in the crowd.... I know that Sherry is wishing, right now, that she was there, in the aisle, ready to smack his booty. That suit totally fits him. I love his moves, and playing with the mic stand. Very enjoyable. The kittens just slung paw fulls of litter at the tv, because of Simon.
And now, the man who makes even my kitties swoon... the rock god, and my American Idol... Chris !!! *thud* OMG... look at that outfit. I don't think that I can breathe. Someone, please... quick... CPR! (He's a boxer-brief guy... now I'm really going to pass out!) Singing, "Suspicious Minds" I'm ready to just pass out. Chablis is fanning me off, and Zinny has the drool towel, in her paws, near me. What sweet kittens I have. Oops... you missed a drop, Zinfandel. Tee hee hee. Those glasses on him... I'm just dying. He's soooooo damn sexy. He might just make me an Elvis fan and that's saying something. Oh, he just winked at the camera. *fanning self* WHEW! That was a GREAT performance. This boy can soooooo totally sing. I loved hearing the gentleness of his voice. Though, I've forgotten it all, since Ryan mentioned the boxer-briefs, again.
BTW... I'm a member of the Daughtry Gang! But, I haven't sent him anything.
I'm trying to recover from my Chris moment... but, Elliott is up next singing, "If I Could Dream." Chablis likes that "light and tender side" of Elliott... because that's how she likes her meat. She's licking her lips... but, I have informed her that he's not Meow Mix. She didn't like hearing that... but, she is content now as Elliott is singing. Once again, just like I say, every single week, he's looking more and more comfortable on that stage. He's opening up, and letting himself come through. Very nice delivery. It was really entertaining.
Hey, did I mention that Chris wears boxer-briefs? Can you just imagine?
And now, in the sweet spot, we have Katharine . She's going to perform, "Hound Dog / All Shook Up." This is the ONE performance that I'm really not looking forward to. And I really believe that she's going to flop this one. But, we shall see. I didn't listen to the mp3 of this one, because I just don't like it, at all. Mmmmmmm, she looks great. At least she gets points for that. Well... ummmmmmmmmmmmm, I'm looking to the kittens for this one. They are more interested in a piece of fuzz on the floor, and batting it around, and pouncing on each other. I guess that should tell me something. I bet that my friend, Cordae, is steaming right now.... because Kat flubbed the words up! Won't make a die-hard Elvis fan happy, at all.
Of course, who cares WHAT she did. I mean, Chris Daughtry, in boxer-briefs! Can you just imagine? I wonder what color they are!
Back to Taylor , who's going to sing, "In The Ghetto." Oh, Lisa Marie was at Graceland... and they all got to spend time with her. MUCH better than her cosmetically enhanced mother. Have I mentioned before that I really like seeing when they start sitting on the steps of the stage? I like when Taylor calms himself down for a song that isn't a "pumped up" number. Oh, that "Woooooooo hooooooooo" that he just did... that was so good! Great performance tonight. This one was definitely, in my opinion, one of his better ones, of the season. If he put out an album like that, I would purchase it, in a heartbeat. I really felt the music. And Simon just redeemed himself with those comments. And here's a little something, just for Sherry. Imagine your Tay in that pirate garb
But, who cares. Chris wears boxer-briefs... and he's up again, for me to gaze upon.
Singing "A Little Less Conversation" and my favorite song that Elvis did, I'm ready. I loved the mp3 that I listened to earlier, and I just KNOW that Chris is going to be wonderful. Oh, listen to that voice. It's just OOZING with sexuality, sensuality, and perfection. The kittens are laying, in front of the tv, and they aren't moving. Chris has their complete attention. He's satisfying them... and their momma too! Goodness... he's just sooooooo, soooooooooooooooo, sooooooooo amazing! And yes... he is the one who's made me like Elvis tonight. But, it's gotta be performed by Chris.
And all that, in a package of boxer-briefs.
Once again, Elliott is up singing, "Trouble." OMG, listen to that voice. There is NO WAY that he should be going home tomorrow night. And no matter what... someone better have him put out an album. I've just gotta have me some Elliott Yamin. He looks like he was born for this moment, and the kittens agree. They wanna put pictures of him up inside their litter box. Absolutely brilliant performance tonight. He kicked ass! Oh, and Randy just nailed it... it was his best performance in this competition.
Ryan's comments about paying Paula a dollar for her moves cracked me up... but, it didn't make me forget those boxer-briefs on Chris!
Finishing up the night, we have Katharine with, "I Can't Help Falling In Love." Now, this is a really nice ballad... but, will she screw it up, as usual, with playing to the camera? Will she have a face that matches the song, and makes us FEEL the lyrics, the music? GREAT advice from Tommy Motolla... will she listen to what he's got to say, regarding her voice? Nice start coming out onto the stage. Vocally, it wasn't her best. It wasn't as bad as I'd heard... but, something was missing. The kittens thought she was a bit too high in parts, and it caused them to back away from the television.
Well.... tonight, Chris definitely did it, for me!!! But then again, I mean, come on... boxer-briefs!
Then, I would have to say, Elliott. He was just amazing tonight.
Followed up with Taylor. Not a bad night for him. Esp with the second song.
Last, and I would have to say, the least consistent lately... Katharine.
So, I'm thinking that we're looking at a three way competition with the men, if America votes right, based on how these four have sang, on a consistent basis.
