An [all-White jury] gave verdict of " not guilty" to three White officers in beating of Frank Jude Jr., who is Black in Milwaukee. His face was beaten to point he required reconstructive face surgery.
Jude was severely beaten by Milwaukee police after party Oct. 24, 2004 in an White suburb on city's south side. The reason for
beating was bcause he allegedly grabbed an officer's badge, but the badge was never found in the investigation.
Judge read verdict to a packed courtroom before midnight, after jury deliberated over 25 hours.
The thing I don't like in cases like this, or really anything that happens ever, is that we're never in the court room. We don't have information enough to determine what happened. In this case, we have information provided to us by malcolm, who got information from the news, and though he's made it sound like a simple case... they never really are, unfortunately.

District Attorney McCann called the case a " mockery of justice" and concluded that Jude was a victim of " police perjury". "
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said he was " shocked and outraged" by the verdict and said that justice had not been given. " Frank Jude was beaten and beaten bad"
Two Blacks were removed making jury all- white. Milwaukee NAACP stated the all- White jury shows " flaws in the justice system"
Jude's attorney , Safran said his client was " sick to his stomach", " depressed about outcome" , " and felt violated again".
