Rod Stewart was a joy to watch. He had energy, and was a great coach for the contestants. He had a great sense of humor as well. How sweet that he hugged them all.

Chris is up firs singing "What a wonderful world". I was pleased that he at long last aknowledged that he "belts" it out usually. He did a nice job. What I did think is that the key was wrong for him. On his highest note, he seemed to reach for it. Still, I liked it, and I am not a Chris fan. Boring, but good.

Paris "Foolish Things" Now this should be her night. Paris looked really good in the clip with Rod. Liked the headband. Anyhoo, other than one note that she also seemed to have to reach for ( low note on "bares" ) it was great. I think this was by far her best performance. Great job girl.

Taylor Oh Taylor darlin, how on earth did you know that "You Send Me" is a song so dear to my heart? Seriously folks, this is the song that I wanted to be our first dance when I married Mr. F. He vetoed it for Nat King Cole. Anyway. He is up with the clip with Rod.
How cool is it that Rod sang backups when they rehearsed it? I loved that Rod sent that message to Simon that there was nothing wrong with Taylor's performances. You go Rod Vocally it was so smooth and sexy, the way the song was intended. When he hit the ending wow! I was blown away. It was so awesome I feel like I need a cigarette after hearing that. Taylor it was good for me! You sent me to the floor! THUD! Simon even liked it.

Elliott "It had to be you" and he picks a great song for his voice. mmmm so smooth. Elliott to me looks like we see more personality each week. He looks happy up there. Wow. I loved it. Second best for me. Did you all catch when it was Simon turn to talk, that just before he spoke Elliott looked sideways. It was cute! It was like "oh here we go"

Kellie Oh my. She really is the dull knife isn't she. "That's a load off my chest" and not knowing that lyrics and words are the same thing. Rod was very kind to her. Most people would have made fun of her. She is singing "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered". She had an amazing start. She did not sound like Kellie. Her notes were pure and very beautiful. Just when I was starting to actually reassess my opinion of her voice, she blew it big time. She did not make the key change. I actually felt bad for her. The song modulates, and she just could not hear the interval and lost her pitch after that. In that moment I knew that she could not sight sing. You have to admire her honesty when she finished and said she blew it. I will say that she looked stunning tonight.
Damon "really good, but not as good as Taylor" and "I want to vote for her". Now keep in mind that she could just stand there and he would say that. He likes the way she looks. yes little Damon loves the blondes. Damon score=
Ace Dude. what did you do to your hair? You look like a funeral director. Creepy. He sang "that's all". Now for me, I hated it. He reminded me of the Wedding Singer. I am sick of the falsetto. That's all this guy has. Once again he was nasal.

Katharine Now I expect great things from her. She has the training after all. She can one of my favorites "Someone to watch over me". It was beautiful, but I sensed that she had some problems with her breath control here and there. Some of her lower notes sounded like she did not have enough air behind them. Still it was very very good. What gets me about her is that she has zero personality to back up that beautiful instrument.

That was sooooooooooooooooooo funny. I was cracking up that you did that. But, I did call ya right back.
After we finally hung up, I used my landline, instead of the cell phone, and I got through TONS of times for Chris, and even a few for Katharine. Then, Shannon voted for Katharine a bunch of times... and then, I voted more for Chris.

No problem, sis... because I know that I will be burning up the phone lines, just like you will. Though, if it comes down to Chris and Taylor in the finals, I would have to say that I believe Tay would win. I just think that he's got a bigger fan base.
