Clerks they were just background charaters, Jay acting goofy then Bob coming up with the word(s) of wisdom in the end.

Mallrats they were just wacky comic relief.

Chasing Amy they were relegated back down to the background, with Bob having a good piece of dialogue.

Dogma they were main characters again but not as goofy this time around.

Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back they were back to wacky and they were in just about every scene.

I don't know whether I like them not being cartoony in a backup role or goofy in a starring role. Eh, either way I guess.

In the background is perfect for them, really... just in Dogma they fit the essemble just right. Especially since the Metatron called them Apostles (of sorts). Didn't expect it to be them the first time I saw it cracked me up when they jumped in.

The whole Jedi Mind Trick thing in Mallrats was funny, but that movie as a whole isn't fantastic. I'd call it "good".

They did fit in Dogma. They weren't 'bigger' than the movie and didn't act like a stoner version of the Marx brothers. Mallrats was cool, a little over the top wacky but I dug it. Seeing Priscilla Barnes' ta-ta's was sweet.

So I'm not sure where Clerks 2 is going. Did Smith opt for site gags, dick and fart jokes and Jay & Silent Bob wackiness or is he going to give us the sharp dialogue and move the story that way? Dunno. Either way, I'm there.

It's set in a burger joing right? Gotta be a tad different... I can't see it living up to the original by a long shot... should be a good laught though.

I dare say its Dante working the fryer on a day he wasn't supposed to be working...

okay, yeah, it was Randal who thought it was Blasphemy, and it was Dante who explained why he liked Empire.

Which just doesn't make sense. Randal being a movie buff and all, you'd think he'd have taste.

Totally. I don't know how anyone can make a case for Jedi being better than Empire. The Ewok factor is the trump card.

I gotta say that's true. If you took the ewoks out of Jedi, it'd be a kick ass movie.

That being said, I used to love Caravan of Courage...
