THE BUZZ: Thank You has been classified as satire-lite from the number of critics who saw Jason Reitman's (son of Ivan) debut film at the Toronto International Film Festival. That didn't stop indie-minded studios from jockeying for the rights to the picture; in fact, the two heads of Paramount Classics were fired when their handshake agreement fell through (Fox Searchlight wound up with the film). That's probably not enough to stir up audience interest, but the soft political barbs, excellent cast, and Sundance buzz just might be. But there are those who will probably stay away now that the sex scene featuring Katie Holmes has been cut.

I saw this movie, and I thought it was great. It's HILARIOUS. I thought it'd be funny - like i'd chuckle or something, but everyone was roaring through a lot of it. Aaron Eckhart is absolutely brilliant in this movie. You love to hate him. I thought it was great. I give it
The sex scenes that WERE left with Katie Holmes are funny - just b/c she looks so bored and miserable in them. I hate that she was in this movie but those scenes were funny.

I think the audience had something to do with it being enjoyable as well. I mean when everyone else laughs, it helps ya know? But, renting it should be a chuckle fest as well.
i think i love aaron eckhart after this movie.
he looks QUITE a bit different than he did in Erin Brockovich.
