interesting how we all think so differently. I have always had a very optimistic view of the world. I prefer to look at the world in a good light until proven otherwise while others prefer to see darkness in the world. I honestly can't say which is more realistic but I can assure you that optimism is makes my soul feel better than pessimism does. (At least for me personally) So to each it's own. Does that make me a romantic as opposed to a realist...hmmm I always thought of myself as a realist like Huck Finn as opposed to Tom Sawyer, the romantic (remember when Tom suggested that they should get a spoon to Jim so that he could dig his way out like the count of Monte Cristo while Huck said the lock wasn't really locked and that they should just open the door. )

There is absolutely no reason for the government to cover up a shooting down of the flight. If it did shoot it down then it was justified and no reason to cover it up.
Showing no faith? I think it shows total faith. Like I said above, is it better to have every newspaper in the free world showboating a picture of the giant firey crater that used to be the White House?
There is total reason to cover it up. The United States government murdering it's own people. People would have gone insane if on 9/11 they found out F-16's were blowing suspect planes out of the air. It would be justified, but of course you cover it up. For the good of the people.
To consider less appealing possibilities does not denote pessimism, rather an open-mindedness to not stomach what's spoon fed to us by the media and the administration. The truth usually is found somewhere between the rainbows & sunshine and gloom & doom.

I agree.... the people would have gone nuts, and the repercussion of committing such an act would have incited riots like crazy.
