I saw a preview for this film with my girlfriend and we both said at virtually the same time that it's just too soon for a movie like this to come out. Not enough time has passed. I still remember seeing it unfold on live TV like it was yesterday. I imagine those images will always be with me, but it's still fresh in my mind. I think they should have waited a lot longer.
I saw the preview for this movie a few days ago with my girlfriend, and we both virtually at the same time said it's just too soon for this topic to be made into a feature film. I've watched the documentaries, etc., and all of that, but this just seems too much. Plus, it has the potential to be some kind of political vehicle which would be horrible.
I think that it might be a bit too soon... but, I think that people will still see it.
We need to seriously always remember what happened... and we should honor those who died in such a tragic way. Plus, I want to honor the four men who said, "Let's Roll" and took the plane down before it hit it's intended target.

One can only hope that they respect the dead and their families and don't turn this into another Farenheit 9/11 fiction movie with cut and pasted scenarios with a predictable outcome slanted at a political agenda.
If it is not labeled "Documentary" I probably won't watch it.
Has it been rated yet?

I would hope that this producer would get the apporval of the families for this before he releases it. At least let them read the script if they wanted to.
I think they should wait about 10 years.

Some criticize Moore for pulling the heartstrings of 9/11 in his movie, but at least it was a documentary. I hope this is only a 'Based On Actual Events' type story. If they try to sell this as fact then it will lose all credibility.
It's a story that we as Americans want to believe and I have no problem with it being accepted as truth from here on. But the simple fact remains all we have are a few scattered phone calls from the passengers, a few clips of the terrorist in the cockpit and that's it. All other communication from the cockpit or otherwise has not been released. So this is, at best, a wishful inference based on conjecture. I praise those poor people who perished that day and I have no doubt they are all courageous, but I don't think their memory should be turned into a popcorn movie were bleeding hearts squeeze out a few years so they feel better about it.
No it is not too soon. why would it ever be too soon for any depiction of an historical event. For weeks after 9/11 we had to see actual footage of people jumping out of the trade centers.
No footage exists of flight 93 but we know (contrary to Inner city blues beliefs)that flight 93 was a victory (of sorts) on that horrible day.
Inner City Blues said: What will be sensationalized is the fake story of the passengers attacking the cockpit and bringing down the plane.
NONSENSE, the conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11 are all nonsense. Most conspiracy theories are nonsense, now on the other-hand I do believe that President Bush conspired to attack Saddam regardless of any truths re: weapons of mass destruction but most other 21st century conspiracy theories are utter nonsense.
PS I have never heard any theory suggesting flight 93 heroics were in any way faked. Where did you get that idea from, Inner City Blues?
Karma, you take care of it and it will take care of you.
Can't we all just get along

Benyamin, if I can interject, where you on Flight 93? Obviously not. It's a preposterous question. It is also preposterous to dismiss other theories surrounding an event that is purely based on speculation and conjecture.
Aside from the families of the victims, the Cockpit Voice Recorder findings have not been made public. Some transcripts were released to the press and all confirm what the FBI officially stated, which was that there was on evidence that any passenger entered the cockpit. Newsweek stated that there was a commotion outside of the cockpit, presumably the passengers trying to gain access. A senior United States intelligence official told MSNBC.com that mobile phone communications from flight 93 indicate that three passengers overpowered the hijackers but were unable to maintain control of the plane. (9/14/01) So, where is your evidence that the passengers did anything to thwart the hijackers?
I want to believe that some good came from that horrible day. Is it true? Possibly. Could Flight 93 have been shot down by an F-16 to stop it from crashing on the White House lawn? Possibly. Either way, we may never now.
Therefore, making a movie regarding these events and profiting from is not only sickening, but it illustrates the fact that it’s far too early for the subject matter to be portrayed in an objective light.
