Simon stated, "you are the first artist we have had on American Idol who has refused to compromise".
I LOVE THAT! Chris knows who he is... and even though he might tone it down, a bit, so that people can hear Chris' ability to do more than a harder tone rock... he still stays within his area. He is a rocker... and I love that he doesn't compromise who he is.

Conviction - This is a great song from Chris' days with Absent Element. The song is at his former groups web site and you owe it to yourself to give it a listen. This is definitely a heavy song showing his roots in the Hard Rock world. When you listen to this song you come to understand just why he did such an awesome job with the song Hemorrhage. - Listen Now!

LOS ANGELES - Millie Hundley was shelling out for airline and hotel costs. Clyde Pickler Sr. is getting by with a little financial help from friends, while Kenneth Daughtry's boss gave him time off and even paid his way from Virginia.
A seat in the studio audience for ?American Idol? is free, but contestants' family members ? and sometimes those around them ? are paying a price to lend moral support to the singers.
Kenneth Daughtry, brother of contestant Chris Daughtry, received financial help from his employer and co-workers at a sawmill in Blackstone, Va.
