As it says above, Rhea Reynolds ends up dead, and evidence leads Kit to arrest Christian for the crimes of the carver.
While Christian stews in jails, everyone else wonders if he's guilty or not. Sean promises to help Christian as much as possible, yet Christian is aware of Sean's lack of faith in him.
While in jail, Christian's biological mother is introduced to him for the first time, and says that Christian should admit to what he's done and go to jail. This of course infuriated Christian, and he told his mother he simply wished she was dead.
Kit seems terrible determined to get Christian for the crimes of the carver (they even suggest its her jealousy that drives her to finger him)...
Eventually the news leaks to the media that the carver suspect is in jail, and the carver strikes that very night. Christian's free to go.
When Christian and Sean reunite at the office, Christian admits he leaked the story to the media in hopes that the carver would come out again that night, not wanting others to take credit for his work... Sean is miffed by this revelation, but it doesn't really ever get mentioned again.
The show ends with Christian interviewing the carver's latest victim. It was Kit.
