flying panda said this in post #63 : Do you disign the bird houses for different types of birds? like if you want a sparrow or a robin you would make it so or so sized?
I put a 1.25 hole in it, and if they need it bigger, they just use their beak to whittle the hole bigger.
So, in theory, any bird could live in them. Though the robins and cardinals are big birds, so they might not be able to.
The rest of em, sure they could move in.
So far, I only have song sparrows living in that one birdhouse my mother in law made.
I have been told the birds will move into mine, in the spring time, when they have their eggs. So I am curious as to what kind of birds move in.
I am amazed at David's bird house building skills. I think he is becoming a good carpenter. He made us a deck to set the grill on. The neighbor who sold us this property uses that land back there for storage and junk. There is a big feild to the right of there that when Muffin and Winston accidently get let out together they take off for and stay gone for a couple of hours. There must be plenty of rabbits to chase there.
