I cracked up over that one!!

Its gonna be a good finale...one of the better ones, I think.

Damn...Bill is tougher than George! He just goes off on people. Donald trained him well!

Man, so I called it, Trump wanted to hire them both! But Randal totally slammed Rebecca! That was great, didn't think Randal would do it. Trump was so going to hire her, too. I think he was caught off guard and just went with it. Crazy.

Oh well, my pick won, I rule.

I could see it from Randall's point of view. He did not want to share the spotlight. He was the star. He has all that education, everyone wanted him on their team. He had three wins as project manager. He deserved it. I did feel bad for Rebecca though.

post #72  quote:

I am kind of surprised at how both Rebecca and Randal performed on their last tasks. Both made critical errors in the execution. Randal lucked out on his task plain and simple while Rebecca did not remotely meet her task objective.

Rebecca should have met Trump outside as he pulled up. Rebecca should have briefly gone over itinerary with Trump in the hall lobby AND MENTIONING that we will begin the comedy part of the event in 25 to 30 minutes. That way Trump would not have said ok folks follow me downstairs to a vacant and dormant area. What have we here no comedians well we do have one…….

Rebecca had way too much Yahoo signage. Not enough advertisement for the true cause of the event. There should have been pamphlets and a donation box set up. There should have been a spiel before the comedians took stage about why we were all there. There should have been a follow up with an announcement to please donate if you could. Despite what the yahoo Bozo’s said. The event was not about Yahoo!

Rebecca should have had the first comedian sign a commitment clause and should not have been allowed to back out at the last minute. I personally do not believe it happened quite like that however. The phone rings and the guy just said I couldn’t do it because of the union. Sorry goodbye. Then the Rebecca team just stands around saying guess what we just lost our comedian dah hahahah joke is on us duh hahahahaha… I do not think so.

Rebecca should have handled the Yahoo Bozo’s with firmness right from the beginning and should not have let the Yahoo Bozo's influence the direction of the event in any way.

I was shocked that Rebecca being a hard-core corporate journalist and someone who SUPPOSEDLY was such an accomplished businesswomen made so many obvious errors.

Randal - yikes! Randal too let the guy from outback get a little rambunctious. The guy from outback was concerned but he needed to be saddled.

Randal should have had auction leaflets of items for auction. There should have been paddles with designated numbers for the auctioneer to keep track of. The celebrities should have been introduced at some point.

The biggest thing is how the heck could you plan an outdoor event and not have an alternative plan in case of bad weather. There should have been tents set up with may be a miniature golf tournament but to have everyone crammed into a holding pin with let the auction begin was just dumb.

I cannot believe Randal who is supposed to be an IT consultant/business consultant made such a screw up. If you made this kind of error in IT your butt would be sued. That type of goof is just not acceptable. If I do a system backup solution the data on the computer had better damn well be backed up.

Donald Trump really let into both of them with the mistakes they made but his hands were tied he had to choose an apprentice.

I am wondering if in future seasons of the show if he will have the choice of not choosing an apprentice. I would not have chosen Randal or Rebecca after that performance.

I can say with experience though that both those events were worked on months in advance. You cannot just call up and reserve a baseball diamond in two weeks time. You have insurance to deal with you have security. These events are dramatically condensed from what reality happens. I have organized large events and there are many many details that cannot be done in two or three week’s time.

The apprentice show needs to show more reality and less drama. I found this season to be boring and not so real.

I dont believe this. Sure people make mistakes...people make mistakes in everyday life...its how you handle those mistakes that count. If people were fired for mistakes they made...the unemployment rate would be phenomenal. No one is perfect...and I dont see Trump thinking that he had to hire anyone. If Donald Trump did not want to hire someone..then he wouldnt. It is after all, Donald.

I would hope that you are never a manager or supervisor or owner of a business. If you expect perfection at all times, you would not be a person people would care to work for, espcially in the "unrealistic" environment you have created in your mind.

Funny thing however...if you could do what they did, albeit they made some mistakes, and you could do it better and more perfect...why are you not sitting next to Donald as his Apprentice?

Sure they made mistakes....but I cant see how someone can justify not hiring someone because of things they saw on TV that were clearly edited for our entertainment.

Have you seen the uncut versions? Do you know anything of what you DID NOT see??

Im sure that these events were planned long before the final two were chosen to work them...duh! Thats kind of a given.

If you are such a great event planner...I look forward to seeing you on the show next season...Oh, and being crowned as "The Apprentice."

What events did you plan? Would you be willing to allow some of us to call those people and ask if you made any mistakes??

See your perfection next season.

People get canned from jobs for a lot less reason my friend. I have seen people get fired immediately for saying something to a co-worker at a water fountain that was not suppose to be disclosed. I am talking the person turned around and there was a security guard ready to escort the individual out of the building. I am not talking clean out your desk first and stop by HR. I am talking you are trespassing on private property to which you are not welcome. It is hard working for a company today because you really need to watch your back at all times. AND YOU CANNOT DUE DUMB THINGS because sooner or later you will get fired!

The whole point of the show is to hire an Apprentice. I am sure there is a high level of understanding that in order for the show to work someone will need to get hired. People watch the show because someone will be hired at the end. It is not Donald’s show.
I could take your argument and throw it right back at you. If the Donald were so impressed with Rebecca why would he even need to ask Randal if Rebecca should also be hired as an apprentice. That was done for TV land. Randals response was scripted.

Well hate to tell you this but your hope fails you on two counts. This is not about perfection this is about obvious blunders that if a business decision was subject to the same type of blunder the cost could be enormous.

How could you say that holding a charity fundraiser and not have any donations come in for the charity is realistic??????

How could you say that holding an outdoor event for a charity fundraiser and not check weather forecasts and or have a back up plan is realistic?????

In business I can be rough and yes people do not like me but I can tell you this all people at the end are always left with a feeling of thought about what it is I say in a positive way. I do not believe in intimidation or threats. There are plenty of sand boxes for that elsewhere. Always keep in mind cause and affect.

Did not apply nor do I have a desire to apply. I do not look good in front of a camera anyway.

I am not responding to what I did not see I am responding to what was presented to me on TV. Sure many things were questionable but I doubt that not getting any funds for the one fundraiser was fabricated. I do believe that really did happen. I also believe that Randal did not have a back up plan and that he lucked out at the last minute. I think the person from the Outback restaurant was pushing him a long to get the task done.

mystic said this in post #78 :

If you agree to pay me up front money to apply to the apprentice then if selected to be on the show you agree to pay me more money then I would consider it. But, again, I would more likely not agree to do it.

If you were not being so childish I would be more than happy to talk to you about what I have done but I feel you would not be able to comprehend anything I say so it would be a waste of my time.

If I thought it would benefit me to have you speak with some references I provide I would not object in the least. However, I do not see how your request would benefit me in anyway and therefore I will not give any references for you to contact.

Such unoriginal comments comng from a person that claims to be so much better. I just find it amusing that so many people dont realize that there is more to the show than what we see. I love it how some people who claim to be so high up in their business and have done so many things seem to have the time to come on here and nitpick on people that I guarantee are much more successful financially than say people...well, like you.

Like I said..if you can do it, try out...lets see if you fit the bill.

Well hate to tell you this but your hope fails you on two counts.

Then I would believe that your employees are not that happy. I realize some mistakes are stupid...but forgive and move on...Obviously that is only for people living in a real world. Yes, I realize people have been fired for lesser things...but some of those people have gone on to become very successful. You say that Randal is not succesful...but running a multi-million dollar business more than likely exceeds your business ventures. Unless you are some millionaire that has nothing better to do than to post on a forum?

This is not about perfection this is about obvious blunders that if a business decision was subject to the same type of blunder the cost could be enormous.

I agree with you...I think she made an error...I never said she did not..I already stated in other comments that she screwed up..hell, they both screwed up...but again, remember that things are edited for our entertainment. But both of these people are successful in their life...to slam on them for one project and then say that they are worthless, is pretty petty considering I dont think you are in a position to do just that. I know, I know, you say you are...but hell, I could say Im Trump himself. Words on a forum dont mean anything.

"I think" would be the key phrase here....correct??

Nah...I didnt think you would.

How convenient!! Nice try anyways.
