You could say this is the ultimate movie because it features actual REAL deformities and anomalies. Initially banned at many theaters during its premiere in 1932, it has since become a classic.
The REAL oddities it features includes SIAMESE TWINS (Conjoined Twins), a Living Torso (a man born withOUT any arms or legs), a Bearded Lady, etc.
This brings up the question: Have any of you folks ever seen REAL human anomalies at the circus, etc? And what were they?
Nowadays, there are SOME of the SIAMESE TWINS who can be surgically separated. But if they share vital organs, then they have to remain "stuck" together. I remember seeing on the news about a pair of Siamese Twins Sisters who are still teens and they attend a NORMAL public school. That surprised me because I thought that human anomalies would be sent to special institutions because at Normal schools, they would get persecuted by normal kids. There was one case in England where a boy with a very grotesque Facial deformity attended a normal school and he was persecuted so cruelly by the normal kids that he committed suicide. Why persecute somebody if that person was born that way? After all, it's NOT his fault that he has a facial deformity.
