He may actually be dead. Think back to the last Al queda video that praised the London bombers. that time it was Bin Laden right hand man and not OBL himself that is intresting because prasing bombers is the thing he always does. Also claims that he has been seen by the military, police and tribesmen have all dropped recently as have the amount of terror threats against coaliton countries.
Or maybe he is just tired of hogging the limelight.
There is a chance that he's dead, but it could always be some sort of diversionary tactic. He is, indeed, a pretty smart man. There is a chance that he's dead or dying.
Well he does have a bad kidney problem and besides that the Afghan mountains are hardly the greatest places to be in winter so maybe the cold has got him.
OBL will never die. He is a hero to all Islamic extremists.
It would be nice to have his head on a stick but, it won't change anything today or tomorrow.

I don't know. The only thing violent people understand is violence. I think Osama bin Laden's severed head sitting on a stick in front of the White House would send a powerful message to the Islamic World.
If we carried out intelligent covert operations against Islamic leaders (as opposed to massive bombing campaigns that kill thousands of innocent Arabs) and posted all their heads on stakes in front of the White House, support would quickly dwindle in the Islamic Wolrd.

In Islamic eyes, dying for the cause of allah's jihad sends one straight to paradise with a number of virgins. If you are a woman? Straight to paradise.
Otherwise, every Muslim believes they will stay in a state like limbo until Judgment Day when allah weighs their good and bad deeds.
If good weighs more, off to paradise you go. But dying for jihad sends you DIRECTLY to paradise.
That's why they're so messed up.
And that's why the more Islamic heads they see, the more encouraged they are to behead yours and then die for doing so. Sick.
Killing him would make him a martyr just like killing Sadamm. The attacks would continue if OBL was dead or not I mean he is not the brains behind AL Queda he is the leader and the money man but not a planner and if he was killed or captured all hell would break loose.
The US and the UK to have special op forces all over the world hunting down leaders but they are impossible to find as they move about and change identities so often and get other to do the dirty work. This is why up until now the vast majority of terrorists caught are nobodies in the big picture of things.
Yeah but that could take a very long time. Your bets bet is to seek and destroy the leaders who are giving the commands once you cut the head off there will be short term trouble but eventually it will die off.
