Unhappy Animal abuse post #1  quote:

I know how miserable this subject is for you animal lovers out there but we must admit that there are cruel people out there who do these things to people. Well on Animal Planet at 10:00 central there is a special about Animal abuse called 'Animal Cops'

This poor creature was not being fed (as we can see) by his owner. This animal went without food for several weeks and without water. When the 'Animal Cops' came in, they had to put it to sleep because it was in a shape that could not be helped.
At least he doesn't have to suffer anymore

This dog was also straving and lost one eye while he was battling the other dog who tore out his eye. I do not know if he is better but I have heard he was adopted.

This horse hadn't been fed by the owner for sometime and was denied water. The owner is charged with neglect and abuse.

This is awful! OH MY GOD! This owner was arrested on charges for neglect and torture. The dog is well and was adopted last year so don't worry animal lovers he is very well cared for and is now even fat!

So all in all the lesson of the story is 'TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR ANIMALS'

I have seen Animal Cops a few times. The people who abuse and neglect their animals are scum. I have always been amazed by how little the humans are actually punished for doing these things to the animals.

I think all people should be given pet ownership tests to see if they are up for the challenge that owning a pet can be. If they pass, they should be given a license with photo ID that they should have to present to animal shelters and registered breeders to purchase/adopt one of their animals.

I think the problem is: Most people who do these abusive things to animals, acquire these animals from non-registered breeders/kennels and pet shops, all of which are contributers to the larger problem: Puppy Mills.

I agree: We must take better care of our pets and make sure that other people are doing the same.

I agree. Expect that the animal owners that do these things to their pets are either lazy, mental or cruel.

Remember an episode of animal cops where this man and his friends chainsawed this poor horse.

Unbelievable.

Chainsawed a horse? No, I didn't see that one. I think those people would fall under the lazy, mental AND Cruel category.

What kind of a sentence (slap on the wrist) did they receive? It's a shame that there aren't more laws to protect animals. People don't seem to think that animal abuse is a crime that should be taken seriously. They also don't seem to recognize that a person who is capable of harming animals with no remorse, is also capable of letting that behaviour spill over into the human population.

When the law lets an animal abuser walk free today with little or no punishment, they are possibly sealing the fate for human victims of pedophiles and murderers tomorrow. They usually start their socio/psychopathic careers as animal abusers.

I have been trying to find animal cops on television lately, but it doesn't seem to be available in my area anymore.
