Your country was following Israel's advice of shooting suspected terrorist. Israel says shooting SUSPECTED citizens in the head is the best policy against terrorism? How do you feel about that?
Unless Britain can build wall around border, I wouldn't accept sharon's policy.
It is very unfair of you to judge me by what happened to that man. I am only one person, I can't control what the police do. I live in Portsmouth for pete-sake, I have nothing to do with London and absolutly NOTHING to do with the death of the innocent man.
Do you honestly believe that people in Britain were happy with what happened to that man?! Do you think that we all just ignored what happened or that we thought it was justified?!
It was a horrible thing and nobody was happy with what happened. I don't know anybody personally who thought that what the police did was justified.
You cannot judge an entire country on one incident. If you do then it just proves you own ignorance.
So, what would you do, malcolm? I'm not sure what I would do. If the police were called in, what would be their role in 'protecting and serving' both the teacher and the little out of control girl?
More importantly, and I think this goes to the core of many of your positions and arguments, would this be an issue you would champion if it had been a white girl handcuffed by the police, who was assaulting a black teacher? Or would you only champion the cause if the black teacher was criticized for calling in the police on the white little hellion?
I wonder...
EDIT: also, where is the pressure that should be placed upon the parents, to have taught their child by that age, how to deal with anger and frustration in a more acceptable way? Why did the girl act out like that, and what steps can be taken to help her go in a better direction? How are her parents assisting in those steps? How did they contribute to her being such a rambunctious out of control kid, to the point that police were called to handle her? How did it get to the point that she was such a trouble-maker and so out of control, that police thought it best to shackle her in order to control her?
Why are you bringing up her race? I don't care if she is white or black. Rambunctious? Out of Control? Hellion? You sound like We are discussing a criminal. A tiny 5-year old child was just acting like a child and shw was handcuffed and shackled like a criminal. Do you have kids ? Do you remember yyour childhood? Would accept if your child?

I wasn't bringing up her race. I understood that her race was already brought up, and I had thought it was first brought up by you, so I was talking along that same line of thought.
Anyways, in response to the rest of your post, the 5-yr-old was NOT just acting like a child. Why do people think that children are SUPPOSED to hit? Are they innocent or not? If so, then why would they be trying to use their limbs to beat upon someone else? Where'd they get the idea that sort of behaviour was even FUN, let alone acceptable?
About whether I have a child; a clue to the answer is in my username. I'm the lucky daddy to a rather well-behaved, well-adjusted little girl, who I take great pride in raising to the best of my ability, and who I also take many precautions to ensure that she's being properly prepared for the world that awaits her. She gets aggressive at times, but not only do I know why she does, but I do NOT find it acceptable and I make her well aware of it. She's a girl that has learned to LISTEN, and that's because her mother and I have made the conscious effort to give her the understanding that we are her authority figures and we give her boundaries for very important reasons. We have tried to have her understand that part of 'acting like a child' is understanding when to behave, and how to listen to the people in her life that are there to guide and direct her.
This girl either didn't know or care, or she wasn't properly shown. Maybe she wasn't taught at all, or left too much to her own devices. That's why I, as a parent, would question the skills of HER parents. Because I understand what it takes to raise a child, and I also have examples, within my bunch of siblings, of how NOT to raise children, and the consequences that come quickly when a parent doesn't care enough, or takes the wrong approach.
I hope that answers your question. Now, what about mine? What could have been done differently that would've been effective in regaining control of the girl quickly, and stopping her from causing harm to people, things, or herself? I know how I'd handle it with my daughter, but I can't be certain how I'd deal with it when it is someone else's kid... If I were the teacher, I might HAVE to call the cops, cuz I have very little patience for bad-*** kids, and having been raised the way I was raised, my first instincts wouldn't even be what I'd do if it were my own girl, and it would get me in a heap of trouble too...

This is absolutely absurd. Why is it that every thing we 'white folk' say is a racist comment? to me I would take this as an attempt to start a conversation.
Don't Black people listen to rap? Why is that so offensive?
Oh and by the way, Dekka, black were ranchers and herders as well. Probably some of your ancestors were cowboys.

Mama always said life was like a box a chocolates, never know what you're gonna get.
my daughter came home from her first day of kindergarten and I asked if she made any friends. She told me yes, the brown boy thats sits at her table. By brown boy I wasn't sure what she meant, black, Hispanic, middle eastern? I just told her that was good but she needed to find out what his name is. She did, its Preston. He black. She still calls black people brown people. What do I tell her no honey they aren't brown. most of them are. Some are offend by black, some are offended by African American. I don't know what to tell her. So i just tell her thats its OK to recognize what makes us different but that that which makes us different does not determine our value. don't judge others buy what makes them different.
anyway, most people suffer from some form of discrimination. The prejudice that women have suffered aren't that different than blacks.
