LOL that's great.
wow. i've never submerged my thumbdrive so i don't know how well sealed they are. they are non-volatile solid state media so they pretty much stay the way they are until hooked up to a voltage source (the usb port on your computer). so as long as you are confident that they are COMPLETELY DRIED OUT, the water wouldn't affect them.
i have first hand knowledge of someone washing batches of old dusty video cards in a dishwasher (on a light setting with no detergent) and once they COMPLETELY DRY they work just fine.
but yes, thumb drives are cool.
