When I was in high school, I started a manuscript based on Star Wars. It had a Storm Trooper realize he had the force... of course, that was before Lucas made them all clones, so there goes that!

Lucas said recently in an article, that most of the Storm Troopers are still clones in ep 4,5 and 6, but that a lot of humans have joined in with the ranks, over the years, so it's not a pure clone army anymore,
I visited Skywalker Ranch prior to the last movie's release and heard through a very reliable source that there will indeed be a Star Wars television series that Lucas will focus on in the future.
This may have made the news by now (I couldn't find anything in a quick search), but at that time this was only rumor and speculation.

so your story will still work.
Agreed, I heard this too. I wonder why there were such dismal shots in the OT though. Although they did disable the hardrive alot of times and massacred those guys in ANH, but they couldn't hit any of the heroes for squat.

I think their life sucks. Working on death stars, taking out hyperdrives, shooting laser guns and missing all the time at hero's like you said, but hitting the sand people and jawas.
I bet the new troopers look down on the clones as stupid, and ignorant, and the clones must age too, lots of them getting older, in thier 60's and 70's,
