Bennifer II: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Get Engaged
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been dating since August 2004, and now word is they're engaged to be married.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner co-starred in the 2003 film Daredevil and dated for nine months before giving birth to new episode of “Bennifer”.
According to People magazine, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner haven’t officially confirmed this, but “a close friend” of Affleck insists on the happy news that wedding bells are in the air.
If rumors are true, it will be the second engagement for Ben Affleck, following his ill-fated romance with actress and pop star Jennifer Lopez.
Jennifer Garner was previously married to actor Scott Foley. They split up after two and a half years of marriage.
Ben Affleck and fiancée Jennifer Garner in Santa Monica
Ben Affleck and fiancée Jennifer Garner, who are keeping mum about rumors that they're expecting a baby, stay under wraps as they spend a quiet Saturday lunching and shopping in Santa Monica.
There's lots of articles and stuff going around referring to them as being engaged or as being fiancee's. But I don't think it's actually been confirmed by their "people" yet.
Has Ben Affleck finally renounced his bachelorhood and secretly taken Jennifer Garner as his lawfully wedded wife? Apparently, not so much.
The undercover couple, who have kept their lips zipped on widespread reports they're engaged and expecting a little Ben-bino, were quick to deny talk they stealthily tied the knot over the weekend in the actress's native West Virginia.
The nuptial nattering began when a gabby florist in Wheeling, W.Va., told the New York Daily News that the "Alias" star had popped into his shop Saturday morning to order seven bouquets -- one for her and six for her bridesmaids -- for her supposed wedding that night at the swanky Greenbrier Resort, located near her hometown of Charleston.
"I was just dumbfounded," said the florist, who described the bridal bouquet as consisting of ivory roses, Casablanca lilies and gardenias.
Now, one might wonder why Garner would risk her privacy by placing the order herself. Or why she would do it at a florist hours away from the alleged wedding site. Or why she failed to inform her mom.
"You know more than I do," Mrs. Garner told the paper as she brushed off the rumors.
Ben's rep, who rarely comments on his beleaguered client's private life, also dismissed the altar rumblings, railing to the News, "[Ben and Jen] are not in West Virginia. They did not get married yesterday. They did not get married today."
As for the verbose florist, the mouthpiece rants, "He's totally lying. The guy got more publicity than ever in his life."
So, if they weren't exchanging "I do's," just what were the low-key lovebirds up to this weekend? Turns out they were in Manhattan, where Jen, per her mom, was doing a photo shoot.
During their brief visit to the Big Apple, Garner, 33, was reportedly wearing the $500,000, 4.5-carat Harry Winston ring Affleck, 32, gave her in April.
The Boston Herald reports the couple checked out of the Ritz-Carlton on Sunday and hopped a private jet to parts unknown.
