World of Warcraft is the same thing... you pay monthly. Some people may think it’s a waste of money, but that’s because they won’t get their moneys' worth out of it. With gamers, they play hours and hours a day so they definitely get their moneys worth out of the game. It is not considered a waste.
Well, before the game came out they had a beta-version. You had to aquire a beta key and then activate the key with a credit card. I happened to not have a card so I couldn't activate it and actually play. I was pissed, surely. But I have heard that its really good. And that was just the beta version. Now all the glitches are out and such.
