But it's true, she is pregnant, and just sits around, she don't do nothing.

It may have something to do with the fact that she was kidnapped and may have some supressed knowledge of who took her and why and the technology they use, etc.

Maybe a map? Or like you said, a device to get into the hatch.

I find it neat that Hurley takes off after the french woman. Is she still alive?
